What is d Difference Btn Heroine Oriented & Content Based Movies ?

With major focus being drawn to strong women-oriented roles Kareena Kapoor says good content will always work, irrespective of the cast. "When you look at films like Queen' or' Tanu Weds Manu Returns', it's the content that was strong. No matter who was in the film, it was bound to work. So in terms of content, we are getting better, but there was great content back in the day as well.

A heroine oriented movie is one where the central character is the heroine, e.g., movies like Fashion, Queen, Mary Kom, etc. Whereas a content based movie is where the main USP of the movie is content. The truth is, no movie can become a hit without a good content, no matter how good an actor or actress is. If the story is interesting, it provides entertainment, and is backed by good acting, the movie will definitely work, like Dum Lagake Haisha dint have any A-List actors/actresses but still people liked the movie and it was a hit. Similarly, inspite of terrific acting, movies like Talaash, NH-10 and Mary Kom couldnt become a clean Hit or Blockbuster because the content dint totally click with the audience - some people liked it and went for it, others avoided it or dint like it.

I usually don't agree with anything Kareena says but she's right about people getting confused between the two. Piku and TWMR aren't imo heroine oriented films.
