May 2015 saw two of the biggest hits of the year- Deepika Padukone's Piku and Kangana Ranaut'sTanu Weds Manu Returns. While Pikudid a business of around Rs 80 crore, TWMR is still running at the plexes, with a storng collection of over Rs 140 crore. But there's one problem- both the leading ladies of the films- Deepika and Kangana- cannot see eye to eye.
Now, at a recent event, when quizzed about her relationship with Deepika, Kangana quickly retorted saying, "Katti Batti". Now one does not know if that was a sarcastic way of telling the public about her hatred towards the Bajirao Mastani actress or just another lame way of promoting her next film, ironically titled the same. But we hear Kangana is mighty angry with Deepika's recent moves.
Informs a source, "Recently, Kangana heard that Deepika is telling people around that she has been in talks with Rajkumar Hirani for the Sanjay Dutt biopic opposite Ranbir Kapoor. On hearing that, Kangana started doing her own investigation on the matter, only to find out that Raju has not even spoken to her." At a recent event, Hirani clearly denied all such rumours saying, "We have not yet reached that position of casting the leading lady. As of now, we are still writing the script, post which, we will talk to whoever we feel suits the role. So no, we have not yet approached Deepika for the role."
This got Kangana furious. Why? A source close to the actress tells us, "Kangana was really miffed with Deepika because she thinks Dippy is doing everything to hog the limelight. She lied about the Sanjay Dutt biopic and it really upseted her. And also she's really angry at the journalists who print all this without any fact checking."
Kangana and Deepika have shared a very volatile friendship in the last one year, with few ups and too many lows and from the current situation, we can gauge that the two aren't ready to patch up at all. But who knows, maybe another call might clear all the misunderstanding that exists between the two!
