MTH was out and out slapstick comedy, this hyper-energetic loud character. In Humpty he was much softer, a very vulnerable character, yes there was comedy in that film but the comic dialogues went to Alia, Varun had the more emotional dialogues. Badlapur was an entirely different world all together and the mainstay of ABCD2 is dance. Playing youthful, positive characters does not automatically mean they're the same. I'm not saying the films are drastically different from each other, but they're definitely not the same either.
