I politely disagree with you friend.

In 1990 my family bought a plot of land @6000/-percents in a village Not so far from Kochi. But after the Collectorate and Industrial areas shifted to the nearby place, the value of the land now exceeded 8 lakhs per cents. In this situation you know what will happen by the shifting of Capitals of states and industries.

In a thickly populated country like India, especially in Kerala, if an industry begin its exixtence, the people in that part will become homeless. These people may get 4 or 5 cents of plot plus nominal amount as compensation (which will be much less than market value.) for acres of land if, they are lucky. Some industries may give a low salaried job to a person of the family also (if they are lucky). Thus a family which can live by farming will suddenly become penny less. And cause more and more slums.

well you pick your poison

you want to maintain prices and you also dont want slums to rise, then you shift your industries and capitals there, now if someone had bought some land, you re-imunerate them accordingly, but not some exhorbitant rates.

This is a two way street, just b'cos the thing is moving there the rates would go up too, everyone has to be considerate here
