Not only that but if DT quits - I believe she has enough reach and popularity to land a new job. Indian TV is run based off the FL so while there is no dearth of potential female leads, someone with DT's sway in theory should not have
as much trouble landing a new show.
However because KP has just worked for BT (TV & movies) & the fact he is a male...he is at a disadvantage. Plus he is pretty open that he wants to get into movies. So, no matter how good of an actor he is (which he is probably one of the best on desi TV right now in my opinion) - I think for him to bounce back from quitting would take a lot more than for DT to. Plus, he may value loyalty to BT & job stability over creative satisfaction at this point in his career.
Unfortunately this cycle will always repeat itself - shows start off great & then goes crazy. Limited series will hopefully start to pull the more serious actors, who want to act for the sake of acting & not just to make money, and help us reduce these overly stretched dramas.
