Is Deepika more popular than the male stars of her generation? Ranbir, Ranveer, Arjun, Varun and Siddharth have fans but none so extreme as Deepika's.

Is she leading the pack?😉😆😛

as for her female contemporaries, only Kangana seems to be in a position to compete. Anushka, Sonakshi, Sonam, etc seem nowhere in the reckoning.

Even PC and katrina and Kareena ( her seniors) are nowhere near DP in fame and popularity.

Biggest female superstar, what say😊

I've never had a "favorite" female actress until Deepika. I liked Kareena but there's a few movies of hers that I didn't bother seeing. Deepika's movies I'll watch in theatres without knowing who the male lead is.

their female contemporaries are Alia, Shraddha etc not Deepika😉

Yes definetely i think now after TWMR the only real competition is Kangana. Deepika is way more popular than all the male actors from Ranbir to Sid. But i must say Kangana is popular because only of her craft while Deepika increased her popularity with SRKs heroine and whats happening in her private life which is also connected to one of her sucessful movies including that she also performed really good. But Piku is the only movie with pure acting and good story that showes that she really arrived on her own.

Yeah, and Finding Fanny as well. I think she really "arrived" with Cocktail though.

Since they are her age, they are her contemporaries as well. They all fall in the same generation.

Alia is the only one who is much younger.

They debuted in 2012 and deeps in 2007 - a matter of 5 years, not much.

Just like the Khans, Kajol, Tabu, Karisma, Juhi, Ajay, Akshay are contemporaries. I mean, they may act with younger heroines but their contemporaneous remain the one they acted with in their initial years and the ones who are around same age.
