I don't think you should blame the janta. The problem is the multiple voting system. One person can send as many votes. If one person could vote just once, then even with all the region based voting, the correct winner would emerge.

I saw the poll on the Indian Idol sify site in which you can vote once per day and on sunday 66% votes said Emon should have been in the top 2.
