I have no problem with any female lead succeeding or even a younger star getting success, problem arises when their success is used to Mock Khans, as see we don't need a Khan to get success. You get success, its ok, but when u use it to show how big it is in comparison to Khans, then don't expect that there shouldn't be any reaction.

They add KHAN to put that weight on success, so if u wanna celebrate that, be ready to get comparisons in reply. Forget Kangna, Hrithik, AKki, RK have given some big hits beating some Khan films, but even they couldn't beat the Top line of their films.

There is constant need to show Khans down, whether it's media or fans of other stars, in doing this thing they themselves bring their success to small level.

Nkhil is a below average director and imran a bad actor. So, its all on Kangana now.

I dont get this need to put those actresses down who achieve success on their own, without the presence of a big actor. Shouldnt we be happy for that? Yes Kanagana or Vidya is no 4 th Khan. Infact realistically very few female actress can be a top star beyond 35 yrs of age, leave alone 50. Kangana or Vidya or Priyanka or Anushka or Deepika are not going to topple Khans in terms of business or star power. But they are assuring a more credible and respectable place for heroines in this industry. We have a string of female driven movies in last 4-5 years which have done well. The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, English Vinglish, Mary Kom, Queen, Mardani, NH 10,Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns. I am so glad that this trend has sustained. Yes the faces may have changed. Yesterday it was Vidya, today it is Kangana tomorrow it is going to be someone else. But what is important is that it has shown the producers and makers that if the content and story is good, a competent actress can pull off the movie on her own shoulders, without a big male star. Dont you think it is a huge achievement? It gives so much credence to current actresses, and so much confidence and hope to aspiring actresses. Today actresses are realizing that working in a movie against top male star is not the only way to become a top actress and they can actually sustain without playing sidekick and flowerpots to big actors. These actresses are working so hard, taking risks and trying to carve a space for themselves without support of big names. Why are we being so harsh on them? Do we only prefer to see actresses playing bimbos, dancing to idiotic songs and being used only as sex object, subordinate to and dependent on male superstars?

And they are not going to overpower your Khans or Roshans or Kumars or Devgans. Neither they have that much shelf life, nor that kind of mass connect. Their salary and star power would remain less than male superstars, no matter how much effort they put. Even then they are trying and achieving success in their own small way and doing roles that showcase their talent and not treat them like showpieces. So why to grudge them this little recognition? So what if 2-3 articles celebrated the fact that a female centric movie crossed 100 cr barrier for first time and termed the actress as 4th Khan. It was just appreciation and encouragement. Everyone knows that Kangana wont rule for 25 years like Khans. But even if she rules for 2 years and does 4 meaningful movies she is doing more good for cause of actresses than someone like Sonakshi or Asin who do 10 blockbusters riding on the back of their male counterparts.

All I am trying to say with this long essay is to be a little gracious and encouraging towards these ladies who are trying to bring some meaning and credibility to the job of being an actress. They are not going to overthrow your male superstars, who would continue making their crores. But if they want to create a little space for themselves and earn some respect, let us not try to pull them down at every opportunity.
