My Box Office Predictions for Humari Adhuri Kahani:

Opening Day: 5 crores net

Opening Weekend: 15 crores net

Lifetime Collections: 30+ crores net

Overall Box Office Verdict: Flop

(The usual pre-release buzz for a Mohit Suri directed film is missing this time, and lot of it may have to do with the fact that the last several films of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan have failed at the box office. The title track of HAK has been successful, but the film is missing the chartbusting music of AASHIQUI 2 and EK VILLAIN. EK VILLAIN took a 16 crore opening with the huge buzz the film had, but given the low buzz of HAK, it's opening will be about 10 crores less. The not-so-good WOM that the film will carry, as indicted by the poor reviews by critics so far, will not help the film's collections on Friday evening and will will not help the film's overall lifetime collections. The careers of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan are basically finished now with this film, unfortunately...).

EDIT: BOI (Box Office India) had said recently (about a day ago) that HAK will struggle for an opening. BOI also said that early bookings suggest Jurassic Park scoring over HAK at most major multiplex chains, and a decent lead over HAK in North India.

If Kangana's career didn't finish with Rajjo, Revolver Rani, Rascals, Tezz, Shootout at Wadala, Game, Double Dhamaal, etc

and Ranbir Kapoor's career didn't finish with Besharam, Roy, Bombay Velvet also known as All Time Disaster

then for sure Emraan and Vidya are here to stay as well.

The fact, 12 years later, Emraan Hashmi is still surviving in the industry, is an achievement in it's self.

This forum is Wacko, they make anyone a Khan and anyone a Disaster with each film.

Emraan and Vidya aren't Khans though! their every flop makes a big dent on their career, which is not the case with the Khans who have too huge of popularity to be affected by flops (Salman Khan is an example, he had several flops from 2000-2008 but is now arguably the biggest star in India).

3 years ago, Emraan used to give opening in the range of 8-10 crores, which was pretty good at the time. However, now 3 years later, he is giving openings in the 3-4 crore region, which is disastrous. Vidya Balan has been on a flop film streak herself. If their film with one of the biggest directors in India today (Mohit Suri) doesn't work, then unfortunately, their careers (Emraan's/Vidya's) are pretty much finished...

I never said Vidya and Emraan are Khans or were Khans,

But they aren't finished, that's for sure.

I think Emraan should just go back to his kissing image, he will earn those hits. Because critics say "Films lacks Intensity"and when he was doing Intimate scenes, he was trashed as a serial kisser. 👏 Today, there is no intimacy, no intense scenes, so it has become pointless to watch him.

There was a time when Emraan's mass appeal used to be known as the it factor. Too bad he chose the wrong films, but what else would have chosen though When no good PH offered him anything despite giving 2-3 back to back super hits.

5 cr with 30cr lifetime? Thats too much! The only thing that can save this film now is really really good WOM which will overtake even critical reviews. I think it will do business around Khamoshiyan range ie 2cr opening and 20cr lifetime.
