I'll be very honest, I haven't fangirled over anyone from BW for a long time. I used to like Rani, back during the 1998-2006 phase, but that's it. She started fading away.. and I also liked films that revolved around the kuch kuch hota hai phase.. and then a few films here and there. Because after 2006, film making mostly shifted focus to only being a means of making huge profits, than it being a medium to depict the art of story telling, acting etc I saw beautiful faces coming in, but never as much the same talent. Everything became uber glamourous, more skin shows, meekly built characterizations, weak storylines etc. So never really liked any actor as such.
I used to watch most of the interviews of Koffee with Karan etc to get to know the personality of these stars, but they were all okay, no one that really stood out to me..
And then, I stumbled upon this interview of Kangana last week and I've watched it for the fourth time now. I've never seen someone more genuine and simple. She's just very articulate and damn, I've never seen someone as honest as her.. I was so stunned when I watched this interview.. all I can say is, I found it very impressive. As an actor, I think she can still do a lot better, if she chooses the right films. I've seen Fashion and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.. she's been amazing in both. Now I don't know, who is better - Kangana the person or Kangana the actor. Maybe the person. She's elegant, articulate and pure honest. I think her personality is amazing but she's set really high standards for herself, as people's expectations with her as an actor now is going to be as high..and I hope she maintains the run. Has anyone watched this ? what are your views.
