I think what cvs wanna keep in common is the realism they want to relate with the happenings and mis happenings in a normal family!!
1. A family without a mother - justified
2. A family shifting to an entirely new and big city - also justified
3. A girl falling for a handsome Munda and then sacrificing him for her younger sister is also justified
4. Misunderstandings occur in any normal relationship and it happened with anuraj and he went on to marry Kari
5. Silence in relationship egoes and self respects are also shown in a realistic manner
6. A possessive mother and a protective father - justified again
7. Tug-of-war between love and family, and going to the extent of marrying someone else is also so realistic( I have seen it in real life) and then true love winning over all odds is again another realistic concept which happens to only a few
8. MIL torture the DIL is fine to a certain extent and the cvs dragged it cleanly making the DIL mahaan
9. A marriage stops in middle and the groom gets married to a random girl is also justified
10. The girl looting the family is justified coz greediness overtakes any cheater
11. The SIL becomes a psycho is also justified!!!
I feel now when v look back at those bad tracks of SS it's the cvs concept of keeping concepts of real life and may b that's y v didn't like those tracks!!! As any normal audience v expect some youthful concepts but this being a family drama it is obvious that the cvs are going to concentrate in family issues but... Do they lack the potential in attracting the younger masses??
Yes they very much lack in this!!!
They must give equal space for romance comedy youthful topics as it attracts both the younger and the older mass
Having the realism in mind and after so much fighting and struggling by us fans v have come to an interesting track of SS
Finally the youth of the show are being shown in the right manner with right screen space!!!

Guys what do u want???
1. Let the realism continue but with youthful tracks
2. I'm fine with household drama and kitchen politics
My personal vote Is for option 1 coz youthful tracks have a greater impact on us. And with youthful tracks also comes household tensions which are bearable 😃 it's all in the cvs hands to make the future tracks interesting 😃

Mission pink 😉

Very well written Shri.
A lot of the tracks are definitely realistic but their execution is where the non-reality part creeps in.

- At some point or the other the elders of the family step in and ask (rather grill) the youngsters to clear out any MUs. That has not happened in SS in a lot of the tracks. People independently form their wrong opinions and act on them and by the time everybody knows it, it has become a runaway train with no brakes.

- Such extreme self-sacrifice (Anu Devi) is impossible. Sometimes, common sense and ego kick in and stop such extremes from happening.

- Such a dreamboat of a man who supports his sacrificing wife unconditionally - quite a rare thing. 😊

CVs should focus on Dev's career and Neil's work (that chap seems to only be chatting of late; I quite agreed with rajat's observation - Lallu Neel, kuch to kaam aao) and see how they get ahead in their lives instead of one more triangle.

Peeya, poor thing, what is the footage she has? What does she do in school, her passage into adulthood, please show all this too. LIfe is not all about marriage and Saas-bahu dramas alone.
Aur bhi gham hai duniya mein mohabbat ke siwa.

Superb post shrivu( I hope u won't mind if I call u that )
I too vote for option 1, coz nowadays youthful shows are gaining good trps, and are very popular among masses,
Family drama is OK but there must be some youth touch in that.
