Kabir and Rajveer Sharma - A relationship soured, or overshadowed?

I know a lot of us are speculating regarding Rajveer Sharma's involvement in Ananya's father's case, but I think it might be a lot less complicated than that..

Right when his entry was shown, Rajveer Sharma looked out of place. It seemed as though he didn't want to be there, but he'd rather be there than anywhere else in those moments..

Today, when he sheds a tear, or it did seem like it to me - my doubts were put to rest.

There is certainly some friction between the two brothers.. Earlier I thought maybe Rajveer did not approve of Kabir's principles and hence was responsible for the distances between them..

But the look of shock, surprise and contentment that crosses Kabir's face when he sees his elder brother has a different story to tell..

Kabir's glistening eyes when he sees his brother, feels his touch, hugs him and the look of serenity on his face while in his brother's embrace all point towards a warm, beautiful relationship between the duo..

Rajeev beats even the best in the business while portraying his 'vulnerability' through his eyes..

And tonight, in both those interactions with his brother, it seemed as though there are distances between them.. Something exists in their past that has torn them apart..

Whether it was Kabir's defamation, Shreya and his divorce, Kabir's failures or his stubborn belief in his principles - I'm not sure..

But something has forced the two brothers away from each other..

Maybe something to do with Sandhya Bhabhi.. Either she's a typical vampy SIL, and disapproves of Kabir, or like someone pointed out yesterday she could be Kabir's wife's sister.. And hence the family drifted apart after his divorce..

Or Rajveer is really the villain, and was just pretending to be concerned for his well-being, and Kabir being the vulnerable one got swept away by emotions..

But whatever the case - I sensed a longing in Kabir's eyes tonight.. For a family, for someone who believes in him, someone he can go back home to, someone who shall care for him unconditionally without asking for anything in return, and someone with whom he can be himself without resorting to his various facades..

Is it a mere coincidence that Ananya witnessed a part of it?

I hope not.. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but she did figure out something was amiss.. The look they exchange just before he walks away, and she goes to her mother hinted at something more than what it seems like..

Yeah, call me silly, but I'm in my detective avatar tonight.. Oh how I miss my Arjunji, and his 'kuch toh choot raha hai's..' 🥺

Hi Avantika !

Fab topic and I was contemplating writing on this.

I love gooey pastries just because of the texture.

Our Kabir Sharma is similar to one - other than the fact that he is dishy and so totally edible.

His facade is that of a man who is strong , pig headed , vocal and just invincible. But like gooey chocolate he is soft , vulnerable and self doubting from inside. When he saw his brother it was initilly a look of shock - he was nor expecting him!

Rajveer I feel should be a very innocuous character so far and could have been introduced to add another layer to the enigma called Kabir. He has a brother ? Why has he never said anything ?

I would currently like to believe that Rajveer doesn't have too integral a role in this show. This could have been a final bye from our side to him!

He has let his guard down today and officially declared Ananya his dost. Our Ananya does take the role of dost quite seriously. She is going to fall in love with him isn't she ? How he is going to scar her..I'm worried.

What worries me more is the day Kabir knows for sure he is in live with her - emotional hell will break lose. He will push her to the periphery and leave her all alone to lick her wounds..

Hang in there Ananya! He is a brilliany man to fall in love with ,bus himmat mat chodna!

We have endured Season 3 of Arrow- if I got my happy ending there, this should be easier !

when you just mentioned Arjun, I got so emotional. I miss mera Arjun and his Samjhe ya Samjhaun style. Hayee. I totally agree with you on Ananya noticing the tense relation. i think she was expecting both brothers to hug each other. I mean yeah they hugged before but the guy is leaving and the most automatic thing to do would be to hug your little brother.

Ananya and Kabir killed it today with their chemistry. It was sizzling. Ananya was looking hottt!! And Kabir is Kabir. And the precap today was so cute. I got shy watching it for some reason.

Great write up avantika!

Surely there's more than what meets the eye. There was a visible distance between the brothers and the reason could be anything. Why is it so that rajeev's oncreen characters are always in search of love and compassion?😭

Be it sujal, rajveer or even kabir.

I don't know whether its just me but I somehow get creepy feels from rajveer. I mean he doesn't come cross as someone with a clear intention😕

Avni I just responded you your other post and my friend I dont have courage to write another super long post 😆 So copying pasting my reply from there. And you said it! Almost everything I wanted to say and much more. Here is what I feel about the epi:

Seeing tonight's epi, somewhere I am convinced that Kabir's brother is not involved in the Sudhir Kashyap case. The whole scene where Kabir sees his brother and warms upto him, it was so poignantly done and i feel proud to say if someone carried that scene solely on his shoulders, it was Rajeev! Till now we had only seen Rajeev play the big caring authoritative brother as Sujal. I simply adored Rishi and Sujal's bond in KTH but there we never saw Rajeev portray this vulnerable side and literally it was a treat to see him play the younger yearning for love sibling! The way he acknowledged his brother as 'dada'...my heart had already went out to him 🥺 How I wish I could give him a big bear's hug!! Seriously he needed many of them tonight. And then the whole disappointment and pain of being left alone in a world of strangers all over again when his brother says he is leaving, I could seriously feel so bad for Kabir. He is one lonely soul. We dont know his back story but may be the two brothers lost their parents at an early age and Kabir had grown under the love and care of his elder brother only till his wife came or till Kabir's divorce happen. It was pretty evident Kabir's brother loves him but the fact that they are yet not together reflects a lot about their restrained relationship due to a third person. May be as everyone's prediction Shreya was Sandhya's sister and after his alleged affair with Tarini, and his divorce, the family broke apart leaving behind a broken all by himself Kabir Sharma Which probably to much extent explains why he uses all his defenses to prevent anybody from breaking him again. He probably not just lost his wife, his marriage, but also his family. His brother...his fatherly figure. The man is bruised and and crushed almost till the level of 'beyond repair'.

And thus when he says "sach ka samna to sab karna chahte hai par sach ke saath jee bahut kam pate hai" with eyes flickering a film of moisture, it makes me so sure its NOT about guilt. And then there are only two possibilities

One, Mr Kashyap is dead - I so want this (because else Ananya will be broken for life, beyond repair, well just like him), and as I said to you in another post, this was my best bet, well until I saw the epi. But seeing the epi and the way kabir said it, I feel it just might be the other reason. "sach ke saath jee bahut kam pate hain"...why this so points to the breach of trust he has himself faced in life. And is still living with it. The truth of his incapability in the eyes of his wife...the truth that she probably never loved him...the truth that she betrayed him and the truth that because of all this, another family, Tarini and Anurag had to suffer so much. He is living under the burden of all this truth, everyday, every moment. And probably he does not want Ananya to live with it too. To live with the bitter truth - Of may be her father's death or his being a culprit. Both equally painful! He just doesn't want her to go through all that.

And last but not the least, many people felt that Kabir did behave in a fishy way tonight may be because he is being too good to Ms Kashyap. But I honestly LOVED that the most. I feel he, just true to his nature, wants to give her all she deserves. We know he treats a spade as a spade. And now he knows that what she has is very little of what she really deserves. She deserves much more seeing what she's been through. The moment he said..."jaise aapki marzi"...I was so sure how much this man wants to protect her and give her anything and everything she deserves. And he wants to give it just the way she wants. Be it his friendship...be it his companionship or be it her wish to stay a reporter. He is ready to give it all. 😳 And it makes me so happy to say...tonight I LOVE KaYa more than ever! ❤️ Not just because for the hot mess they looked tonight ;-) But because tonight, Kabir proved that how stupid all our fears are. We all feel that its gonna be so difficult for Ananya to adjust to his ways but today he proved that how he himself will be the biggest protector of all her interests. He will treat her like his lady and never let any pain reach her. Even by hiding that paper he just wants to protect her. <3 Yes he might pull away from her if he realizes himself falling for her which is still a bit distant IMO, but even then it will just be for the sake of her happiness.

Shitt do you remember you compared him with Raj and said that this guy too can be too sacrificial if it comes to protect her, I can so see hat happening. But probably he doesn't know that by doing so much for her, he is actually letting her heal him! She has already begun to soothe his broken trust, make him smile genuinely and even have a true friend in his life almost after ages. And thus today's epi holds one of the most important places in the journey of reporters so far, because tonight, a DARD ka rishta has been formed between kaYa. He has sub-consciously resolved to let her away from all pains and she for the first time has come face to face with his pain (in the form of the awkwardness with his brother)...and now together these two shall along with soothing the pains of the society through their 'junoon for sach' shall work to soothe each other's pains too and this 'dard ka rishta' will help them become each other's humrahi and hamdard, for ever and ever! ❤️
