Bappi Lahiri to sing in 'Made In China' By IANS Aug 30, 2007, 01:48 |
Earlier, director Milan Luthria and composer duo Vishal-Shekhar chose Bappi Lahiri to do the 'Mumbai' number in 'Taxi No. 9211' and A.R. Rahman and Mani Ratnam zeroed in on his distinctive vocals for the 'Guru' song. Interestingly, 'Made In China', which is a Warner Brothers-Ramesh Sippy production, will get its primary music from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who have done the music for Advani's two earlier films 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' and 'Salaam-e-Ishq'. 'But there's a song that only Bappi-da can do. He'll compose and sing it,' Advani told IANS. 'Made In China' will have musical inputs from Kailash Kher as well. 'So this would be my first multi-composer project,' said Advani. Also in the pipeline is a background score to be done by a Chinese musician for the film. 'It's just a thought right now,' cautioned Advani. 'But well worth exploring.' |
