In his fit of rage, the filmmaker throws his phone at an actor on Bajirao Mastani sets
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's temperament is the stuff legends are made of. After all, who hasn't heard tales about his infamous temper? And the filmmaker recently added one more chapter.
On May 30, the director was shooting the Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani when a character artist couldn't get the scene right. While the filmmaker was patient with him initially, things went from bad to worse. The take count went up to 20 and yet there was no sign of respite.
Finally, by the 28th take, the filmmaker was so exasperated that he threw a phone at the actor. Said a source, "Things just went out of hand that day as the actor couldn't get it right and Bhansali being Bhansali, kept on pushing him. Everybody panicked when Bhansali threw a phone at him."
What followed was even more hilarious.
Turns out, the whole scene was being filmed by a crew member who has been shooting the making of the film. "Bhansali yelled at him too and he was promptly told to delete those portions," the source added.
Frankly, given Bhansali's temper tantrums, is anyone really surprised?
