she can if datto was south indian . She couldnt even pull off gujju accent in ramleela. If not for cloths u cant make out that was a gujji girl through her accent n behaviour.

No Deepika is a limited actor and she would not have been able to pull of a double role. As she has very weak voice modulation and her voice sound the same in all type emotions.

Success of datto proved that publics liking for desi girls. I guess even success of deepikas nina n piku should be attributed that public loves desi girls and the shades they bring to the charecter. Public has got bored of burger n french fries they want pani puri now. Deepika attemped desi girl when nobody was attemping, that worked in her favour. But now with emergence of anushka in NH10 n kangna in queen n Datto there is compatition.
