and FYKI, I was also grossed out when Alia made that statement because she's still a kid and Salman is old enough to be her father.

I understand what you are saying. I don't think either Alia or Salman will work with each other paired as heroine-hero. they probably said it in situations where they had to just say something at the moment or just to nice to each other.
