i think raja is a good singer, but he has hard time singing mainstream hindi film songs.

Did you guys notice that RAJA's vocal Notes, Pronunciation and Modulation is very CLEAN and cuts are extremely precise. His Tonal quality is just superb......What else ???

This is specifically on Raja's dual act. I see that the people on the board are being critical of his performance yesterday and are giving him 7 or 8 for it.

I say that he deserves 10-20-100 for it.

What did people expect - that he would be Kishore in male's voice and Lata in female's ?

If you listen to the original song, you would find that "musically", this is not Kishore da's best. But what made Kishore da immortal was his willingness to experiment - to try things that no one would even dream of. In this song he would have had the luxury of recording separately in the male and female voice.

Raja went a step ahead. He not only sang the song in two voices in one go - he experimented with the costume as well. He did much better that Vineet and did full justice to the spirit of the original song.

On the whole yesterday's episode wasn't all that great.

I hope S.E.L keep their promise, and not do a Daler mehendi on Raja, when they dumped his version of Jhoom barabar Jhoom and replace with Shankar's.

If versatility is all about "doing justice" to songs of different genres and singers,then Raja is,without a shadow of doubt,VERSATILE!!!

Moreover,most importantly every song he sings bears his personal stamp,his renditions have that particular signature RAJA HASSAN quality to them,a sublime and very novel quality which cannot be duplicated---a mark of a great singer 👍🏼 👍🏼

Just look the scoreboard kid. Raja is singing for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. All other who have managed to find a song is for B-Grade movies like that of K.C.Bokadia. You can keep barking about versatility - Raja is already on his way to big-time playback singing. And the rest would be travelling across the world singing for dandias and stage shows.
