Local people whoever got to know the name of Rishi Mathur recognized the Mathurs as well like Rama's father and some other people in the Chai Pe Charcha meeting.

Mantu's part in the reception sequence was blooper. I did not find his fake identity humorous as well. The CVs could have thought over it well and had come up with something different.

wedding reception ones is a blooper...but on whole mantu is famous in banaras...everyone knows him...same goes with rishi...he is famous in banaras...everyone knows him...like sasurji...like damad...😆

I will still give Mr Dubey and the ladies some benefit of doubt for not recognizing Sneha...25 years is a long time...people do forget faces..

What I loved most at the reception was the positivity of the Dubey's towards the girls even knowing their father's name.

...but hated what Mantu did...he is responsible for the Uma-Amaya misunderstanding leading to the ugly banter.

Oh yes, he is. He is responsible for the whole mess. Neither were his excuses convincing nor was his approach to resolve the issue made any sense. What was he trying to do ?

They could have just shown that Mantu was invited as well but denied going due to busy schedule and then he goes because of the dress and faces hurdles on the way while reaching the venue and then finally reaches. There was no need for all the fake stories.
