Last night he tried his best to convince her he will not keep himself away from her. But the stubborn little thing she is, she had refused to let go of him. And seeing how frightened and distressed she was, he had no heart to leave her alone. And so he had taken her to his room, and here they are, sleeping in his room, on his bed.

He felt her stir, and looked down to see her opening her beautiful eyes. Her confused brown eyes stared at him for few seconds before her lips stretched into a heartwarming smile.

"Hey there..Good morning" He pulled her on him by her waist, making her giggle. "Funny, is it?" Kissing her chin, he hoisted her above him with the help of his strong arms. " More funny up there?"

Khushi screamed, all excited. " Hume dar lag raha hai. I am afraid" She looked down at her smiling husband.

"Afraid, uhh?" he stretched his hands more, lifting her more up.

Khushi giggled, her melodious voice filling his barren room with music.

"You don't look afraid though" he gave her a shake, making her giggle more.

"You are so strong" She pressed her small palms against his majestic ones which were holding her waist.

"Am I?"

Khushi nodded. "Yes. .strong very strong...more up please?" She asked, all excited like a child.

Arnav laughed. "I can't stretch my hands than it already is, Kusi. You see, I am not a monster" he slowly laid her on his chest, her smiling eyes looking in his.

"Then magic please.." Her eyes filling right away. From the time he had stopped talking with her, she had craved for his magic as much as she had craved to see him, to talk to him, for his forgiveness.

"Any time sweetheart, anytime" Arnav wiped the tear before it can roll down on her cheek. " But don't you ever do such thing. .ever...Don't you dare put your life in danger..Never. Do you understand me?"

Khushi nodded. "Never" and as her lips were about to touch his, he stopped, making her eyes shift from his lips to his eyes.

"Before I give you magic, you are going to tell me what were you doing on that wild horse. Who gave you those clothes? Tell me, Kusi"

Khushi stared at him for few seconds before getting off his chest and sitting beside him, her knees drawn to her chest.

Arnav followed her and sat facing her. "Kusi?"

Khushi lifted her eyes to look at him. "I.." She started. " Nani-Maa told, if a woman can't keep her husband happy and can't give him a baby then he would marry some other woman, a woman who can keep him happy and give him babies" She took his hand in hers and threaded her fingers with his. " I don't like sharing" She stood on his knees, looking in his eyes. " I hate it..I don't want to share you with anyone...I don't want to share your magic with anyone, I don't want to share your anything with anyone." She cupped his face between her palm. " You are my husband, only my, why should I share you with anyone? I don't want that." she lowered her eyes. " So I want to be a good wife, give you baby, so you don't marry anyone else"

Arnav stared at her unbelievingly. "Kusi. .." He covered her hand with his. " What are you talking? I am not going to marry anyone else, no matter what. A king has only one queen, a duke has only one duchess, Kusi."

"No, a king has many queens" she protested immediately.

Arnav brought her close. " Not here Kusi...not here. You get me? I will never marry anyone else. Stop worrying over this. I would never leave you. N.E.V.E.R. Never" he lightly brushed his lips with hers. "It's magic only with you. .It can't be magic with anyone else"

"Sacchi? Really?" Khushi smiled.

Arnav nodded.

"You will never marry anyone else?"

"Never" Arnav shook his head.

" You will never share my magic with anyone else?"

"Never, Kusi. ..Never"

Arnav frowned, not understanding what she said in hindi. But before he can ask her, she pulled away and started again.

" You want to know what I was doing on the horse?"

Arnav nodded. " Yes, tell me"

"Woh hum. .I..I want baby"

Arnav just stared at her, not believing his ears. "You what?"

She fidgeted with the neck of his shirt. "Baby"

"And who the hell told you that you will be getting a baby if you get on that wild horse?" Arnav caught her shoulder, his voice a few decibel high.

"Woh. ..I..I wanted to do that so everyone stops calling me a kid. ..Kids don't get baby...women get...Nani-Maa told me "

Arnav clenched his jaw. " Who gave you that idea?"

"Woh. .I forgot her name "

His mad eyes stared at her frightened face. Jennifer! It was all her doing. He would have lost his wife, all because of her. Every fiber of his body burned with rage.

Arnav pulled her in his arms. " It wasn't your fault. The one guilty will be punished soon." he promised.

Pulling away from the hug, he made her look at him. "And now you listen to me. You will never ever listen to anyone but me, understood? If you want to do anything, you will come and ask me. No matter what is that you need, you will always ask me, and not anyone else. Do you get me?" He can't allow anyone to take advantage of her innocence.

Khushi nodded her head. "Yes...I want baby" she sniffed softly.

He had to smile. Bending, he kissed her cheek and got off the bed. "Go and take your bath, we will get late for breakfast."

Khushi frowned and followed him. "What about baby?"

Arnav turned to look at her. "Kusi, sweetheart, we will talk about that later. Now go to your room and take your bath in your bathtub. Your bathtub will be waiting for you" He joked.

Khushi shook her head vigorously. "No..Talk now..now . "

"Young? But my maid Radha gave birth to her baby when she was 15 years old. I will be 17 in 4 days." she grinned.

"Go away Kusi, we will talk later" he walked and opened his bathroom door.

Khushi pouted and followed him. "No..we will talk now. .I want ba..." a loud gasp left her mouth as soon as she entered his bathroom.

Arnav turned to look at her shocked features.

"Your bathroom is so big. ..and your bathtub, hey Devi Maiya, hum toh isme doob jayenge"

"Kusi, could you please go out? Go take your bath, and let me take mine" Arnav said, exasperated.

The stubborn little thing stood there, folding her hands under her breast.

Arnav glared at her. "You go out NOW" he tried to intimidate her.

With three quick stride, he reached her and picked her in his arms."When I ask you to leave, you leave, understood?"

"No worries, I will make you understand" Kicking her bathroom door open, he went and dumped her in the bathtub. "Now you understand me, don't you?"

Khushi gasped and stood up immediately. "No! No! No!"

"Kusi" he tried calmly. "Now you are being a bad wife"

"But you told you will not marry anyone else, no matter what" she smiled.

Arnav closed his eyes. What is he supposed to do with her? Opening his eyes he looked at her innocent face. She wants a baby. And she is right, she will be 17 soon. Normally girls are married and have kids by the age of 17. He looked at the petite girl in front of him. But he can't take a risk. She is too precious to give in the temptation she was offering him and risk her life. He will have to wait, no matter what.

He looked down to see her standing in front of him and pulling at his sleeve. His palm rested on her cheek. " Kusi, I will give you a baby after your 18th birthday, OK?"

"Kya?!" her mouth wide open. "One more year?"

Arnav nodded."Right now you are not prepare for the baby, Kusi."

"No, I can take care of baby ... I know how to take good care"

"No.." his thumb caressed her cheek. " It's not about baby, Kusi...It's about you. You are too young for a baby. Please try to understand me. Trust me please"

She lowered her head, nodding. "I trust you"

Arnav smiled and kissed her hair. "Thank you. And till the time comes for baby, you can learn so many things, visit so many places, play with your Akash bhaiya and Maria jiji, know the people and place better,right?"

Khushi looked at him and smiled. "And I can make so many clothes for the baby"

Arnav chuckled. "Yes, you can do that too. Now can I go and take my bath?"

Khushi nodded. "But my magic?" Her beautiful brown shined at him.
