Part Fifteen
"Hello ma'am, I would like to meet Mr Abhishek Prem Mehra"
"Do you have an appointment sir ?"
"No.. but please tell him Rohan Khurana is here , he will want to meet me "
"Just a second sir.. you please wait there, I will check with his secretary and let you know", says Naina , the receptionist of Mehra fashions.
"Maya Ma'am , one Mr Rohan Khurana has come to meet Mr Mehra.. He doesn't have an appointment but he says Mr Mehra will want to meet him. Shall I send him in ?"
"Just a minute Naina , I will check with Abhi "
"Hi Abhi"
"Yes Maya"
"Abhi, one Mr Rohan Khurana ,is here to meet you.. He doesn't have an appointment but he says you will want to meet him ..Can I ask Naina to send him in ?"
"Wow Rohan ? Of course. Please ask her to send him in "
"Okay Abhi"
"Naina, send Mr Khurana in.. Abhi wants to meet him"
"Okay Maya ma'am"
"Mr Khurana, you may go inside. Sorry for making you wait, I had to check with Mr Mehra's secretary .."
"No problem.. I understand ", says Rohan and goes to meet Abhi
The moment Rohan enters , Abhi goes forward and hugs him..
"Rohan ! Mera dosth ! How have you been ? 😃 "
"I am doing great Abhi.. And I know you are doing extremely well too. How's everyone at home ? Convey my regards to dadi, uncle and aunty and love to Bulbul ! "
"Everyone is super cool! How about Uncle , Aunty and Neha bhabhi ?"
"All good all good"
"Okay first come sit down. What would you like to have ? "
"Do glass chaai if possible" 😃
Abhi smiles at that and both of them say together'just like old times'. Abhi and Rohan have been friends from college. Abhi came to London and is now managing Mehra fashions.. Rohan was more of ' I will help everyone ' kind of a guy and he started an NGO in India to help the needy. It became very popular and many youngsters joined him and started raising funds for social causes. Later he wanted to expand the NGO and hence he came to London to open another branch of the NGO called 'We are there for you ' 😊 His wife Neha helps him with managing his NGO.
"We might not have the tea that Kamal bhai used to make for us back then ,but I sure can arrange for two cups of Nice afternoon tea 😆 "
"Haha chalega."
So, Abhi orders for tea and goes and sits beside Rohan.
"So tell me , what brings my friend here ?"
"Abhi..as you know, Neha and I have started a branch of our NGO here and it's going good. We have many interns also now.We are planning a fundraiser event next week for the survivers of the earthquake in Nepal and we want to send it to our office in India and my people there will take care of how to get it across to the people in Nepal. We wanted to invite you for the event."
"Wow that's a very nice effort Rohan . First please have my contribution for your cause "he says and gives him a cheque for twenty five thousand pounds (approximately Rs 25 lakhs)
"Thank you very much Abhi ! I knew you will support us . Also, Can Bulbul sing in the event ? We are planning on having few music and dance performances also so that it will be entertaining and people who get to know that will also come and once they learn about the cause,will consider contributing "
"Sure Rohan but wait will check with her if she is free. Which day next week ?"
"Thursday"
"Okay I will call her"
"Hey Gudiya .. free for two mins ?"
"Ya bhai.. I am home now, tell me"
"Your Rohan bhai is here in office with me and you know he has an NGO here right ? They have a fundraiser event for that next Thursday and he asked me if you would like to sing there ..I told him I will check if you are free on that day "
"Sure bhai why not ? As of now I don't have plans for next Thursday so guess I can .. I will inform Ananya and Sunaina to get their keyboard and guitar also".
"Wow cool gudiya thanks . They are going to love you there "
"Thanks bhai . I will go decide the songs then. Tell Rohan Bhai a big hi from me and ask him to convey my hi to uncle , aunty and Neha Bhabhi! 😃"
"Haha ..Sure bye 😊 "
"Done Rohan. She will come with two of her friends, who play keyboard and guitar " .
"Thank you so much Abhi !"
"No problem yaar ! What other events planned? "
"I have invited the people of LSD and some of them will perform a dance number "
Abhi gets reminded of his conversation with Pragya about her brother. He neither knows his name, nor how he looks like , so he won't know , even if her brother comes there . Rohan's voice brings him out of his thoughts
"Abhi .. Where are you lost? "
"No no nothing Rohan.. "
Just then their tea arrives and they have it, chatting about college times and what their other friends are up to at present..
Purab loves the LSD and in the first few days of his joining there, he makes friends with almost everyone there and he dances with so much passion and grace that he is the unanimous choice for the favorite student of the batch . He is loved by all and he considers himself lucky to have found so many nice people , so quickly , in a new place .
The head of the London school of dance informs Purab's teacher about the fundraiser event and how there was to be a performance by the students of LSD. Purab and his friends get to know about the event and they want to participate, more so, because it is for a good cause. So they go ahead and seek the permission of their teacher who readily agrees knowing that this group of students dance really well and the show will be a hit. They are happy to have gotten permission to perform and as this is their first on stage performance outside their dance school, they go ahead to select the songs and start practice as the event is just a week away.
