Karan Johar turns 43 tomorrow (May 25). Buzz is that Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who now headline the cast of his production Shuddhi, are planning a party for their mentor.

He has already given them the biggest birthday treat by casting them in his ambitious venture and this could be their way of saying thank you.

The filmmaker is known for throwing lavish birthday bashes every year with the who's who of the industry in attendance.

This year should be no different, but Alia and Varun will sure make it extra special for him.

I'm not sure how true it is that Alia and VD are hosting this party. But there will be pictures of them on KJo's Insta the next day with captions along the lines of "Shuddhi couple" or something more lovey dovey. And if not then it will purely because VD wants attention on ABCD now and him and Shraddha 😆
