When there's chemistry, there's chemistry

If there's one couple that lights up our screen with their crackling chemistry, it's SRK and Kajol, hands down. One can't forget the memorable stint the two besties have had on the silver screen with films like DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Baazigar and others. It's hard for any onscreen pair to match up to the levels of this jodi. Varun and Alia however, come fairly close. The two convinced us of their love story in Humpty and displayed a special chemistry, much like SRK and Kajol.

When Rohit Shetty confirmed SRK and Kajol for his next Dilwale, the nation went gaga and rejoiced the fact that B-town's most happening jodi, will be reuniting on the big screen. Though Salman's fans are enraged over their Bhai' being replaced by Varun- Alia in Shhuddhi, we bet die- hard fans of the couple are ecstatic with the news. Like SRK and Kajol, the newbies too have a widespread following on social media and otherwise as well. Fans had been waiting to see Varun and Alia together again, and the same will happen soon. Yay!

The guru and his Dharma'

It's no mystery that Karan Johar's favourite jodi all these years has been SRK and Kajol. The director cast the two in K3G, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and reunited them in his film My Name Is Khan. The Bombay Velvet baddie's journey with Varun and Alia began with his film Student Of The Year and the three have been going strong, ever since. After Humpty, its Shhuddhi for the trio. It's evident that Karan believes in Varun and Alia's pairing much like he did with SRK and Kajol. When the Dharma guru is convinced, half the battle is won right?

Been there, done that

We all saw how Varun and Alia have already attempted being SRK and Kajol in HSKD. The same was a tribute to DDLJ where Alia and Varun made the perfect modern day Raj and Simran! Much like SRK and Kajol, the pair had sizzling chemistry topped with compelling performances. What more can one ask for?

A jodi we can relate to

The best part about SRK and Kajol's pairing, is that the nation relates to them easily. Bollywood has shelled out many popular pairings like Aamir Khan- Juhi Chawla and Anil - Madhuri Dixit. But none of these pairings have received the kind of love and fan following like SRK and Kajol have. The same could be said for Alia and Varun, who have become one of the most popular jodis in the newer lot of actors. Their camaraderie is natural and easy going much like SRK and Kajol and the same is noticed by the aam janta as well.
