Milind - ashamed?

Seeing the last few episodes I get the impression that Milind is trying to push Prachi away because he is ashamed - 1. for forcing her to marry him knowing that she was in love with Neev 2. about his background since his family had worked for Prachi's family.

Initially his vergence for Ayesha was all consuming. He married Prachi only to make a her feel jealous. And man did he succeed. Now Madam is literally seathing in jealousy. Alaap's disgrace of his family was also a convenient excuse to torture Prachi. He believed Ayesha's lies against Prachi and did not feel any remorse for his rough attitude. In this phase all he felt was anger, no shame.

When he realised that Prachi's care and concern for him was genuine, he was breifly ashamed of his behaviour (particularly his near rape). He allowed her the choice to stay or leave assuring her that he will fully understand if she does want to leave. The independence day celebrations was an eye opener to him. He realised he enjoyed her company and thought she too reciprocated. In this phase (if you can call it that for it was only for a very short time) he was genuinely happy. He felt he was making some head way in his marriage. Remember the scene where he rushes back home from work on the reunion party day thinking that at last he will get to spend time with his Prachi without the presence of Neev and Ayesha.

While the independence day party served to bring the two love birds close, the reunion party ironically tore them apart. Prachi's attendance of the party (despite her proclaimed disinterest for parties) and Neev's declaration of love were like slaps on his face. Her presence in the party seemed to underline the difference in their social status which till then had not bothered him. Neev's declaration showed him what he had inadvertantly snatched from them (Neev and Prachi). If it had not been for Ayesha and him those two would have gotten together. Prachi's claims to hold the institution of marriage above all else only made it worse. Since he thought that she is stuck with him even though her heart lies elsewhere. And he was responsible for this mess. So right now the duffer can only feel shame for his attitude. We saw that in yesterday's episode as well. When he was asking Prachi to stay back he could not meet her eyes. He felt guilty for again coming in the way of her happiness.

Beautifully put dear 👏and completely agree.😃...he is ashamed of his behaviour towards Prachi, him beleiving that he is not good enough for her and above all beleiving that eh ruined her life my forcing he to marry him...thus destroying what she had with Neev.

Yes ...all these factors are definitley eating away at him and htu shim wanting to let go of Prachi...for her happiness....when we all can see that their happiness lies in each other.😉😛😃

Duffers both of them.😆

duffers to the extreme. i would have to agree. but i still like it...M realizing how he wronged P. I just hope he doesnt use A to push P away....that would suck
not only would it lead A on, it would uselessly break P's heart.

Good day everybody, I'm a new member of this forum, my name is Magno. I'd like to properly give my greetings and self-introduction but can't find the thread easily, so I hope it's okay that I started everything here. Please welcome me:)

Optimist, I decided to post my first post in this thread because you just wrote exactly what I've been thinking when watching Kayamath these past few weeks.

When they showed Millind with Prachi in earlier episodes, it was clear that for Millind, Prachi was someone he loved to hate. She was everything he would despise, and he didn't give any chance to her to prove that she's not what he thought she was. Prachi didn't try too hard to prove otherwise either, because there's just no need or the opportunity (plus they only met several times). It was clear he had no intention whatsoever to have romantic relationship with her. At this time I thought the creative team of this show was peculiar that they didn't make Millind the main lead, because for me, compared to Millind, Neev was rather bland (no offense to anybody. Just personal opinion).

After Millind married Prachi, I thought that if by chance he falls in love with her, he would suffer. Just like you said, when he married her everything was about revenge, and no further thought would come to his mind. But if(when) he loves her, then all 'problems' would surely arise. When he doesn't love, he doesn't care about their different backgrounds, other than as a reason to despise her more. But when he loves, for sure he sees himself with different eyes. He's just not in her league, a 'fact' that struck him hard after he started to have feelings for her. He's not worthy of her affection, moreover she's in love with another man.

And 5th Sept finally showed it clearly, when he told her his insecurities while asking her to stay for his father's sake (btw he looked gorgeous in this scene, don't you think?). It would be difficult to change his mind about all of these issues, and I think Prachi must be really direct to shake him.

So in other words, I agree completely with you post.

(I'm just wondering, why isn't this topic posted in 'Current Jodi in demand - M&P' thread? And why some other posts about episodes aren't posted in 'Kayamath Episode discussions'? For a newbie like me it's confusing to see so many independent yet related threads. I'm truly sorry if this question is inappropriate or misplaced. Or if this is this forum's policy. Please don't kick me out of here for this, I just got here...)

Thanks Magno for your thoughtful comments. Feel honored to have my thread chosen for your first post. Regarding why this is not posted in current jodi in demand, I thought this topic was discussing Milind's feelings and not about the MP jodi. Hence the seperate post. It is for the moderators to decide its location.

No problem, Candyfloss:)

I don't understand Hindi at all, sadly. At first it was because Prachi just looks so beautiful, so I ended up watching. Then it's because Millind and Prachi arc is too interesting to resist:) I'll conclude my post here, and move to 'current jodi' thread...

An Interesting Post👏, Thanks for putting up😊

I feel 'Ashamed' wont be the right word to use. Of what should he be ashamed of? He didnt force Prachi to marry him, he gave her a proposal with conditions attached and she accepted it for her own purpose. And more over he didnt break Neev-Prachi up, Neev was already married. So there is no sense of feeling of shame on that front. Yes, He surely feels bad for the fate their relationship met with. He assumes Prachi's happiness is with Neev... so he is doing all he can to give Prachi back her happiness....setting her free.

Yday he couldn't meet her eyes not because he was ashamed…but the guy has never asked anyone for a favour in his life. He always will refuse any help that comes his way as a favour… but if he sees that support is coming in not as favour but because they really care for him, he will give himself up completely. That is exactly what happened with Prachi. He resisted her going abt doing things for him…because he saw it as a favour…but when he saw the care and concern, he was more than willing to give himself up and get pampered by Prachi.

Yday's hesitancy came from the fact that the Self Dependant guy that he is needs someone else's help for his father… and he is asking for a favour for the 1st time… it was tough for him on that level and the hesitancy was because of that and also because he was asking for something he gave away by his own will. But primarily it was hesitancy in asking Prachi for a few more days away from her happiness. It was not shame that caused Milind not to meet Prachi's eyes but hesitance. Milind can be guilty, never ashamed even if he is… he will promptly apologize. As far as feeling guilty for all that he did to Prachi... he was truly sorry and made her realise that on the day of the deluge infront of the temple... when he very humbly accepted his defeat and appreciated the beautiful person that she is. So he isnt carrying any baggage of those days now... he relieved himself of that burden long back, but he is ready to face the consequences of that, if she wishes even today.

Yes, there was always feeling in Milind that he isnt worthy of an angel like Prachi... she deserves a Prince Charming and he isnt that polished... that is the nagging feeling he has, though for Prachi that wouldnt matter.... she knows to turn her Beast into her Prince Charming.

Milind can never be ashamed of the background he comes from. He is touchy abt it… it pains him when that background becomes a hindrance in something which is very close to his heart (Eg, his relationship with Prachi) It causes him anger when ppl look down upon his upbringing in an undignified manner…. Else he is a very confident guy and his roots are responsible for the what he stands for, he will never be ashamed of his upbringing. He knows that the man behind the Dahi Handi Champion and The Business Tycoon is the same Milind, the world perceives him differently… but he is the same. Once wittingly he said 'Poster badla hai, Picture abhi bhi wohi hai' Even if he loses all his business and property…he will still be comfortable being back in his chawl. Milind's attitude towards the Shahs has been bitter because he felt they weren't treating his father in a dignified manner, they treated him like a slave…he didn't like his father place the shahs in higher pedestal… that bit of misunderstanding is fading away thanks to Prachi and Premlata.
