### it would be nice if you can make a short comment how you voted in the polls.

First of all, huge respect to all those (actually a healthy majority) who correctly predicted Bombay velvet collections https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/bollywood/4366502/your-box-office-prediction-for-anurag-kashyaps-bombay-velvet . TBH, I thought all those who voted for that range were out of their mind. Now, i know that you voted because you believed so, iss baat pe thoko taali 👏.
With this, IF has been spot-on for the last two big movies Gabbar and BV even before they released. Way to go, guys! which makes me bit afraid for Dil Dhadakne Do😆.
changes made: the 10-30 cr range is back in the poll 😆 which i had omitted for BV. Flop, hit n blockbuster tag projections added.

The next big release after Bombay Velvet is Dil Dhadakne Do directed by Zoya Akhtar, starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma

For DDD, scarce amount of information is there to make boxoffice projections. And below projections are based on the available information and my research so far.

Production cost to Excel: 65 cr
P & A costs (is being done by Excel): 15 cr
Landing cost to Excel: 80 cr

Distributer buys at: 90 cr (prediction)

Satellite rights and music income: 29 cr (projected)

Money to recover for Eros at this point: 90- 29 cr= 61 cr

Theatre owner (exhibitor) payments: 20 cr (projected)

Money to recover for Eros to break even: 61+20 cr= 81 cr (approx.)

Profit starts at: 82 cr (approx.)

Buzz- ok to positive, Zoya's last movie was well-liked.

Opening day- big opening possible, 3 to 4 A-listers
Promotions- ok, city tours start now.

31-79 crores. Flop. Strictly IMO, very little buzz around me, no famous stars except for PC who has no BO pull, music didn't hit the bulls-eye by any means, thanda promotions.

It cannot NOT be flop. Maybe not a disaster per se, but a definite flop.

Really? Why do you think so? Because the music is a flop, there is practically no buzz and no superstars to carry it through either. :/

NO. i open it for only big budgeted movies that exceed 60-70 crs in landing cost. For small movies, some other IFian should take charge if they want. If i do it for every movie, it takes a lot of time from my daily life. I don't have that.

damn! It needs 83cr+ to not get a flop tag? Little risky...this movie only depends on the multiplex audience. Can't predict lifetime.,,anything can click!
