SRGMP C2005 & SRGMP EMAET - he lost early on both.

I disagree.. First off, he's got an awesome voice and there's something about the passion of his voice that connects with a lot of his fans. Probably not with you but that's alrite.. Moreover, his range is simply amazing.. Secondly, I am sure there are no rules in ASVOI stating that if u have been a part of earlier contests, then you can't participate.. Hence, he's a part of the show..Earlier, he was not so good due to the lack of training and hard work. That is why he could not make it very far in those shows.. Nobody noticed him (including myself) simply as there was not much there. However, he's done one heck of a job during the past 2 years and has improved only for the better. He's connecting a chord with the audience and has sung a variety of songs to date, something that cannot be said for all other contestants..
Just because somebody does not quit and keeps on trying.. you can't stigmatize that person to have all hype and nothing else.. Sonu has heard him, Kunal has heard him, many other great singers have heard him and has thoroughly enjoyed him. He's not a quitter but a hard worker and I hope he ends up going far along in this contest.
As for my view on the hype issue:
I think there are some contestants that are favored more so than others and that includes Abhaas, Harshit, Sumitra, Priyani and Abhilasha. But see, I can't say that it is utterly nonsense because all these singers are quite good singers and have a unique quality about them that makes them stand out from the rest of the crowd. So I have no problems with these things..
