Of course that was an overconfident statement. But I am only talking about the part he said about older stars.

Yup, Ranveer was a nobody at the time so he could have been dumped easily. Only thing is Ranveer's RL had more budget than 40-50 crores when SLB took him on. At that time BV didn't even start filming.

I get it AK got bad treatment from the older stars especially Hrithik ignoring his script for 3 years 😆 but that doesn't mean he treat the newer lot as if oh he not a big star so I can dump him while not actually telling him directly and let him find out from the papers instead.

But I am glad Ranveer didn't do this film because AK is a pretentious with what he wanted to do with this film.

What was RL's budget?

I always wondered why Aamir said no to this movie?? From the time those stills of Mumbai came out, it looked breathtaking and story seemed to be really good as well. Anurag used to cry about it a lot too. Aamir this and that etc...

Now, I know why. The movie had no script, story at all. Guess they have it right, when they say that Aamir has the best script sense in the industry.
