Things were quite simple and direct and I liked it. Sometimes you just need the drama to unfold and see from a distance how it moves to the next level.
Things were pretty clear from both ends. Ananya is obliged and touched by Kabir's gesture but at the same time she still strongly believes what she did for Mahi was the best she could. And I am very happy with that. I did not want her to feel guilty. Yes I wanted her to realize the value of keeping her kabir sir's trust but not at the cost of her stand. And that is what exactly she does. She remains true to her belief and not even once feels sorry or apologetic for taking a stand for Mahi. And though she is trying to come in sync with her Kabir sir's thought process, the sensitive Ananya within her fails to fade. And that's why she saw a potential story in the tale of Mahi and her mother.
But at the same time I did not find anything wrong with Kabir's pov too. He did not want to glorify a drug addict and that's fair enough! And even I don't think what mahi's mom did for her is something that huge. A good parent is someone who strikes balance between freedom and discipline (like Ananya said to her brother)...and in that way Mahi's mom does not seem to be that successful as a mother. Had Ananya not been there, Mahi would still be in that cringe-worthy place probably getting raped by some creep. So how does Mahi's mother's story in anyway make a good story?
I feel Ananya is going a bit wrong here. She needs to u/stand that with a guy like Kabir, there is never a set code of conduct to expect how he will react to a particular thing. She got him a story that can fetch him trps (that acc to her he craves for) but he refused that again making her confused about what he wants 😆 So she needs to first u/stand that to u/stand him is not making a questionnaire of defined questions about him. Because he is a man with indefinite depth. So she needs to learn to be in sync with the dynamics of his thought process. She needs to u/stand what is static about him (his thick moral compass) and what is dynamic about him (his ways of presenting his morals). Only then can she learn to be in sync with him. But still I am glad she is trying it out. Atleast she's spinning the wheels of her mind and I am sure if she continues to do it, she shall very soon be there...in absolute sync with her hero and his thoughts!
Rest all of them as usual were total entertainment...specially Manav...the guy stole the show tonight!! 😉 His reasoning with Kabir was quite valid and the fact that he knows the art of hitting when the iron is hot, he has the potential to change the dynamics of equations between people at KKN.
ANd last but not the least, the PRECAP!! Ab kya bolun I already wanna give manav bhaiya a biggg jadu ki jhappi for his hug to Mr mighty's budbudati reporter...jo koi na kar paya woh manav ne kar dikhaya 😆 He actually managed to bring out the jealous streak of Kabir Sharma!!! Jiyo manav beta!!! 👏 Though we all know that Kabir isn't yet there and that angst and hurt he had on his face when he saw Manav hug her, it had nothing romantic to do about it, BUT surely it had much to do with Kabir's sense of 'possessiveness'. Kabir may not be romantically interested in Ananya but there is a strong sense of belonging for her from his side. I would explain this with a very simple example...imagine a little shy lad goes to new school and among all other kids, there is just one li'l girl he makes friends with. She is the one who shares her lunch with him and he is the one who escorts her to her class everyday. They do this daily for a few days and then a new boy comes and the girl becomes friends with him and forgets her first friend. How will the lad react? He will be hurt and extremely annoyed. Not because he is jealous (he is probably too li'l to know what jealousy is)...He is sad and angry because 'someone' who belonged to him...has been taken away by someone else. That new boy does not know how much she cried when she lost her way to the washroom on the first day...he doesnt know how happy the lad was when out of no one she made him her friend. He knows nothing about their cute little story and took away his only friend with him. He will be shattered and angry. Because he thought the li'l girl was just his friend and she shared her lunch just with him.
I feel its the same with Kabir! 😳 He knows that he has invested his trust and emotion in her and even she had gone to that extra mile in helping him out. What they shared during these moments of motivation...provoking...unsaid extension of help...explicit appreciation of being there...all this just 'belongs' to him and his budbudati reporter and the fact that any tom dick and harry is trying to proclaim what belongs to him is surely not going down the throat of editor sahab 😳😉
At the end, will just say...the sparks have begun to fly and both of them have started moving in the right direction...now its to be seen what all they learn from each other and teach each other during this journey of reaching there...reaching the point of absolute sync!
