" So you want to help us?" asked Khushi, raising her eyebrows and crossing her arms against her chest.
" Yes, Khushi. I want to do whatever I can. At least this way I will be able correct a fraction of my sin." said Shyam very genuinely.
" Then do the required by going out of our lives, FOREVER!" said Khushi, shouting the last word out.
Shyam was shocked that his dear sister was asking him this. The sister who took him as her inspiration was today asking to leave from her life.
Payal and Akash who were the eye witnesses to this painful moment of brother and sister felt the air thicken with the pain, which was present in everyone's heart at the moment.
" Khushi??"
Shyam had realized what he had truly lost in the revenge game.The wounds which he had given to Khushi and Anjali were not something which could be healed over time.
Maybe they wouldn't heal even if he sheds his own blood.
" Now tell me Mr.Gupta, are you ready to help us?" asked Khushi, turning her heart into a stone at that moment.
Only she knew how many storms were dallying in her heart while uttering those hatred filled words to her dear brother. But destiny had brought them to a place where pain made them forget every relation with each other.
"Di, you know what you are saying right?" asked Payal, who still couldn't believe that her sister was turning so heartless towards her brother.
Akash was probably the only person who still maintained composure. He knew that whatever was happening today was the result of their own deeds and Khushi was very justified in her anger and hatred.
" Payal, your Di is right. Maybe that's what which I can do to minimize their sorrow. If that is what Khushi wants, then I am ready to do it. Khushi, I promise you that you will not see me around again, ever in this life.Nor will Rani Saheba see me. But before fulfilling your promise, can I ask one thing from you?" asked Shyam, while tears flowed from his eyes and his voice shaking with pain.
Involuntarily Khushi nodded her head for reasons she didn't want to know.
" Can I hug you for one last time?" asked Shyam, while smiling through his tears.
Payal had completely broken down after hearing her brother's wish, while Akash was trying to console her and control her.
" Since I already said okay, I can't refuse you now." said Khushi, looking away as she knew she wanted to say yes and run into her brother's arms.
Shyam came to her with great difficulty as his legs were giving away. He enveloped her in a bear hug and kissed her hair with utmost love and concern. Unable to control herself, Khushi hugged him back with the same warmth and affection.
Suddenly, Anjali's face flashed in front of her eyes and she pushed Shyam with all her strength.
" I have given you what you have asked, Mr Gupta. Time to keep your word." said Khushi, while looking away from him unable to meet his eyes.
" Thank You Khushi for fulfilling my last wish! Take Care and Take Care of Rani Saheba too." said Shyam, while turning away from everyone there.
He knew what his next step was. Though it was a big step, he knew it was the only way he could prove that he had always loved Anjali and had deeply regretted what he did.
Maybe only then his sister could forgive him.
What was Shyam going to do?
