Zara Paas Aao Toh Chain Aajaye
Part 1

After a couple of difficult months for the Bhallas things had finally settled down in recent days. A month long custody battle for Ruhi and Adi's parental rights had brought the two children back to where they belonged, with Raman and Ishita. Shagun, though beside herself about losing to Ishita had taken the actual loss of both her kids well. So well, that the ugly face of her motherhood had been finally revealed to Adi in court. While he had been heartbroken to realize that his mother cared about herself above all, Raman was confident that his son would soon get past with the support of the entire family and the guidance of proper parents for the first time in many years.

Ishita's unending joy at having Ruhi back was bursting from her every pore. And Raman's immense relief and happiness of having both his kids together for the first time in his life was immeasurable. The Bhalla parivaar felt complete and was brimming with contentment. At least on the surface.

The truth was that Raman and Ishita's relationship had regressed. All the steps forward they had taken as partners had been marred by the decisions and mistakes made in the emotional turmoil of the last few months. The trust had been broken. Though to outsiders, nothing seemed amiss. Ishita knew they needed to have a serious talk now that things had settled down. But with the kids being home, it had gotten hectic for her again and they hadn't had time to sit down together.

Raman for his part was brimming with additional excitement as this was the week Ishita was getting her cast off. Her leg would be back to normal and they could pick up where they left off countless times. His parents were anyway taking the kids to dinner at Pammi aunty's and thankfully Ishita had declined to go in order to catch up on rest. As he pushed the wheelchair through the living room, his family chimed in with their usual jokes and comments.

"Shukar karein Ishita puttar, tera pau toh teek taak ho jayega. Raman zara sambhalke le jaana ise."

"Haan Bhai, raaste mein kuch hogaya toh aap do aur mahine saadu ban jayengey!" Romi sneaked in a joke as Toshi smacked her younger son and Simmi laughed. Ishita was taking her time hugging Ruhi goodbye and didn't appear to notice the remark. She had been extra clingy with her daughter since she got back. Or pretended not to hear the comment, Raman wasn't sure.

"Shut up Romi. Ab chale madam, nai toh Ruhi ki hawa nikal jayegi." His wife glared at him in mock anger and gave Ruhi a final kiss. As he wheeled her out of the house Raman wondered what his family thought was the status of the relationship between him and Ishita.

"Raman yeh koi Ferrari nahin jo aap itni tez chalayenge. Romi teekh tha...yeh cast nikalne mein, doctor nayi wali lagwayenge."

"Aisa joke bhi mat karna. Ab ke baad, us couch ke saath yeh wheelchair bhi mujhe kabhi nahi dekhna." He frowned in real worry as he slowed his previous rush to get them out of the building. Ishita chuckled at her frustrated husband. She felt his pain, mostly. Their last truly worry free moment together was the night after she brought Raman back from the airport, when he had planned a special evening for her. How she wished to have that lost milestone back again. Finally free of all the complications and misunderstandings of the months before that. Just the two of them and what they felt for each other. Even Holi, as much as she felt ready to give in to anything he wanted to do to her in that moment, the memory was clouded in her mind with what happened right after. No, Ishita was sure that before they could take the next step Raman and her really needed to have a proper conversation. Otherwise she feared what else could destroy something that should be a treasured memory. That's why she had declined to go to Pammi aunty's for dinner tonight. They would get the break they needed from the family for their talk.

Meanwhile the whole time they were waiting at the doctor's office, Raman had been concocting a plan to make the night special for his Madrassan. He had secretly purchased all the necessary materials for the evening including candles and flowers which he'd hidden away in Romi's room. Now he'd just have to get his Madrassan to cooperate. He was rubbing his hands thoughtfully with a hint of glee in his eye as he paced the room. Ishita who was sitting on the patient bed raised an eyebrow at his strange behavior.

"Zyaada khushi nai ho rahi aapko? Mera cast uthar rahi hai"

"Ohho, woh to sahi hai lekin faida toh mera hi hai Madrassan!" Ishita blushed knowingly. "Itna sharmao mat aur dimaag gutter se nikalo. Mujhe is baat ki khushi hain ki ab tumhara PA banke ghumna nahi hoga. I'm thinking what to do with all my free time!"

"Haan wapas Raavan kumar ban jao phir! Waise bhi Ram Kumar bohut boring hota hai"

"Achcha, dekh..."
Before he could finish his threat the doctor came with a nurse to remove the cast. An hour later, they had made it back home to raucous applause from the family as Ishita showed off her completely healed foot and even did a little jig on Ruhi's insistence to prove she was back to normal.

"Ishita! Kya kar rahi hai pagal. Jumping wumping mat karo yaar please." Simmi looked worried.
"Haan puttar, zyada weight mat rakhna ispe."

"Don't worry Papaji, Simmi, doctor ne kaha ki main normally chal sakti hoon. In fact yeh bhi kaha ki yehi karna hai taaki puri tarah strength aajayega isme." Ishita didn't notice Raman's smirk in the background.

"Ishita aunty, kya aap football bhi khel sakte ho. Papa, main aur Ruhi Sunday ko khelne jaayenge."
His dad replied. "Adi beta, Ishita aunty ne fracture ke pehle football ka chehra tak na dekhi hogi. Ab khelegi kya?"

"Stop it Raman. Adi, aap sab khelo, main dekhungi teek hai?" Adi nodded smiling at his father's teasing of her. Since asking to live with his father, Adi had been feeling guilty that he chose him over his mother but each day since he got here he started to feel better about it. He could see the genuine love and care that his father and Ishita aunty had for him. And it was nice to be with Dadi and Dadu and Chachu and bua. And of course Ruhi. He didn't have to worry about as much anymore and for the first time in a long time he felt happy.

Toshiji interrupted the fun at that moment, "Ab chetti karo. Adi, Ruhi, tayyar ho jaao. Humein nikalna hai. Ishita zara dekh lena."

Ishita got them ready as Raman went to make his own preparations. After she saw everyone off, Ishita busied herself in the kitchen getting dinner ready for Raman. As she set the table for the two of them, he walked out already changed into his nightclothes hiding something behind his back. As she watched him suspiciously, he presented her with a beautiful bouquet of white roses. Ishita was surprised and tried to hide her worry behind a smile.

"Wow, occasion kya hain Raavan Kumar?"
"I told you na, tumhari wheelchair se chutkare ki celebration" He laughed at her cute frown. "Thank you toh bolo"
"Thank you, they're beautiful. Main inhe paani mein dal deti hoon" she said simply and walked off into kitchen as Raman muttered to himself under his breath, Madrassan ko thank you bolna teekh se sikhana padega'.

In truth, Ishita had escaped to the kitchen because she could see Romantic Kumar coming out and suddenly felt nervous. She wasn't ready, not tonight. There was nothing she wanted more than to have him flirt with her, to romance her, to make...love to her. She blushed deeply cursing her own rational mind. If only she could let herself be carried away by the moment he was trying to create. But her brain told her that these things can fester and as strong as their relationship was, it was just as unpredictable and she didn't want to risk the cart before the horse.

"Khaale?"

She was making him sit down as he frowned on her obliviousness. Was it nervousness? He'd felt that she had become more comfortable with him recently, definitely since the Holi...incident. They ate silently, him trying to make eyes at her as she avoided his gaze with a purposefulness that he couldn't decipher.

"Raman, kuch baat karna tha"
"Haan bolo"
"Nahin dinner ke baad, baithke baat karenge?"
"Dinner ke baad, baat karna zaroori hai kya? Mera toh kuch aur iraada tha." He looked at her meaningfully.

Ishita looked away shyly and in frustration. He was definitely set on the plan. How would she disappoint him and convince him to discuss his emotions instead?!

Afterward he tried to help clean up hoping the congestion of the kitchen would put her into his arms accidently. Otherwise he wasn't exactly sure how to take that first step with her avoiding his efforts in this way. But she shooed him off and he returned to the bedroom in defeat. She would have to come there in the end and things in the room were set up in a way that wouldn't let her feign ignorance of his intentions. His Madrassan wouldn't escape him this night.

Part 2

Ishita paced anxiously in the living area. Unsure of how to deal with Raman's single mindedness she had decided to take the easier choice of letting him fall asleep and tackling the subject in the daylight hours where the promise of night didn't make it so hard for them to resist each other.

"Sorry Raavan Kumar" she whispered out loud, feeling guilty for throwing water on his plans. Just then she heard him coming downstairs and sat down anxiously grabbing a random magazine.

Raman had spent over a half hour waiting for her in the bedroom until he had worked himself up into a frenzy. Where was this crazy woman! Walking downstairs he saw her sitting on the couch, apparently done with all the kitchen work, with a magazine on her knee. And that too The Economic Times! As though she had some urgent news to catch up on! And he had been sitting upstairs like a bride on his suhaag raat counting down the seconds to her arrival!

"Tum yahaan kya kar rahi ho yaar! Main kabse tumhara intezaar kar raha tha!"
She glanced up and nervously looked back at the magazine. "Raman aap so jaiye. Mujhe neend nahi aa rahi."
"Arre toh mujhe kaunsi neend aa rahi hai. Chalo tum upar." With that he pulled her up with her hand and led her upstairs her protestations going unheard. "Raman mujhe aapse baat..."

He took her in and as he closed and locked the door behind them, Ishita looked around, stunned. She was overwhelmed with the transformation. The couch was gone. Red and gold candles spread throughout were providing a dim glow to the darkness. There were delicate sheer curtains suspended from high above the bed's headboard that fell down onto the bed on either side providing a sort of canopy. Falling over the curtains were threads of twinkling white lights that shone through the translucent material. She took all this in, completely amazement. Whatever she thought he had prepared tonight, she had never imagined this stunning sight.

"Raman..."
"Maine socha kahi bahar sapne pure karne se behtar hai ki mein sapne ko yahi laoo tumhare liye."
"Its perfect..." And her heart tore a little then at what she was about to do.

Raman had moved around to face Ishita, holding her hands. Without saying a word he leaned in slowly approaching her lips. Ishita backed away from him in short strides as he closed the gap each time. He smiled thinking it was shyness. She tried to fight her own mind, to stop moving so his lips would make contact at last. The fiery passion in his eyes was weakening her resolve. Then her back made contact with the door and she had nowhere else to go. As Raman closed the last gap, she put her hands on his chest holding him away from her. Despite the strength of her ardor, her brain was still in control.

"Raman, abhi nahi..."
"Kyun bachho ki shaadi ka intezaar hai kya?" He remained in a flirty mood reading her incorrectly.
She tried to escape from between the door and him. "Meri fracture puri tarah se heal hua nahi ab."
"Really, aur sham ko kya keh rahi thi...doctor ne kaha sab ki normally karna zaroori hai? Yeh bhi toh normal hain. Sabke liye, I mean. Humare liye bhi ho jayega. I'll be careful, promise."

"Nai Raman" She finally twisted herself out of his grasp as his forehead creased with a frown suddenly.
"Ishita..."
"Mujhe woh Ruhi ka school project ki bhi tayyari karni hai" Saying that she walked over to the table picking up things she had kept there this morning with a false urgency. An unbelieving Raman walked over and grabbed her arm as she had picked up glue and a glitter bottle.
"Ishita tum aise behave kyun kar rahi ho??"
"Chhodiye Raman, mujhe yeh Ruhi ke kamre mein rakhna hai" Raman tried wrestling the two bottles from her, fury and confusion bubbling within.
"ISHITA!" A sudden pull later the glue bottle had fallen and the top of the glitter bottle came off before it cascading down the middle of them, spilling on their clothes before breaking its glass body on the floor with a crunch.

There was a tense silence as they looked down for a long moment at the mess in between them. When they looked up into each other's eyes again, the fires of passion were nowhere to be found. Ishita saw a mixture of hurt and fury reflected in Raman's eyes. She waited for him to scream and yell at her for ruining the romantic and perfect night he had envisioned but it never came. Instead she saw his shoulders slump and what came after was much worse than all the yelling he could do. His words came in a soft whisper she would have given anything to have never heard.

"Kya main tumhare is pyar ka bhi laayak nahin ho paya Ishita?"

Whatever she expected to hear, it was not this. Ishita had only hoped to sort out their issues and resolve the festering hurt that had accumulated between them recently; all the harsh words, the cruel taunts that they had used in moments of anger and weakness. The fights had been brushed away quickly enough, knowing the deep love that was there underneath it all. But words are harder to forget.

"Main jaanta hoon ke main perfect nahin hoon. Achha Papa na ban saka, achha pati na ban saka. Aur galtiyaan bhi bahut ki maine. Par socha ki at least humare beech pyar hain. Ke kuch bhi hojaye, woh toh rahega." He had tears in his eyes and there was defeat in his voice.

"Raman, aap galat samajh rahe hai. Main toh sirf baat karna chahti thi aapse, yeh step lene se pehle..." She had reached out to him but he bristled at her touch and turned his back on her, ignoring her words.

"Tumhare liye yeh shaadi humesha samjhauta hi rahega na Ishita? I'll always be what you got stuck with, what you have to put up with for Ruhi." A gust of wind blew through the window curtains and put out a few candles nearby. The words halted her steps as she tried to walk towards him.

"Yeh kya kahe jaa rahe hai aap?? Ek saal ke baad, itna sab kuch humne saath saamna kiya . Sab ke baad bhi aap aise sochtey hain? Aap jaante hai aap mere sab kuch hai!"

"TOH TUM MUJHE CHHODKE GAYI KYUN!!" His voice thundered around the room.

"Ruhi ko leke aisehi, na pooche, na bole chali gayi! Main aur KYA samjhu isse? Ke tumhe meri zaroorat hi nahin? Main jaanta tha ki tum is duniya mein sabse zyaada Ruhi ko pyar karti ho. Aur karni bhi chahiye. Tum Maa ho, bahut achhi maan ho humare baccho ki. Mujhe bhi mere bachhey sab se aage aate hain. Lekin tum toh mujhe apni hi nahin samajti ho na? Itni aasani se bhool gayi mujhe? Kya Ruhi ke bina humare beech kuch nahin hain?!"

Tears flowed furiously down Ishita's cheeks as she heard this. She stared at his angry back feeling the deep hurt in his voice. Her heart was breaking at the thought that this had been running in his mind since that horrible day. She cursed herself for allowing him to feel like this, knowing full well the insecurity he had already passed through once so brutally. Gathering herself, she tried walking around to face him but he kept drawing away from her until she had to hold his shoulders still.

"Raman, I am so sorry. Maine kabhi imagine bhi nahin kiya aap yeh sab soch rahe the. Aap keh rahe the na aap perfect nahin ho? Main bhi toh perfect nahin hoon. Bilkul nahin. Galti mujhse bhi hui jab main Ruhi ko lekar gayi. Lekin Raman us pal mein na jaane mujhe kya ho gaya. Nervous breakdown jaisa tha woh mere liye. Aapke barein mein, Ruhi ke baarein main, kuch nahin socha. Sirf react kiya maine. Koi plan nahin tha, sirf darr tha. Yehi darr ki meri zindagi ki saari khushiyaan cheenne wale thi Shagun. Aur uss breakdown ki wajah sirf Ruhi nahin thi Raman. Aap bhi the."

He finally looked into her eyes then, waiting for an explanation. She reached up and wiped the tears off his cheeks, gazing at him lovingly.

"Aap toh jaante hain ki Ruhi humare rishtey ki foundation hain. Main pehle uski maa bani, phir is ghar ki bahu aur phir ek patni bani. Aapki patni. Humare beech jo pyaar hai, uss par mujhe bharosa tha Raman. Lekin humein uss pyar ko Ruhi ke beghair kabhi test nahin karna pada. Aur karte bhi kyun, humne kabhi socha tak nahin ki aisi situation bhi aa sakti hain.

Aur jab hua, mera is ghar ka har rishta, zindagi ki saari khushiyaan jo maine paaya hai is ek saal mein...mujhe laga shayad woh bhi nahin rehti agar Ruhi mujhse door ho jaati."

Raman's anger began to ebb as he listened to this. He had thought that as they realized their love for each other"even without voicing it overtly---they had finally gone beyond the Ruhi ke liye' condition. But he understood now that not talking openly about their feelings had cost them repeatedly. The baggage that they both carried from previous relationships had made them untrusting and insecure in the most basic sense: of who they were as people. Their minds constantly questioning whether they could be loved as they are; without preconditions and without situational compromises. In no universe could he have imagined that Ishita would think her position in their lives was Ruhi-dependent. He tried to interrupt this crazy talk of hers. But she continued forcefully past his protestations.

"I know, yeh rational nahin tha. Lekin jab insecurity ki jagah se jab dil kaam karta hain, aisehi thoughts aate hain. Aap ko bhi aisehi hua na? Aur maine jab aapke baare main socha Raman...jo aadmi apni beti ke liye uss aurat se shaadi karli jisse itna nafrat tha...kya ussi beti ke liye phir se Shagun se samjhautha nahin kar paate? Wahi Shagun jisse kabhi itna pyaar karte the."

"Yahi sab chal raha tha mere man main ja..." She hadn't noticed the absolute look of incredulity that had taken over his face until he grabbed her shoulders suddenly and shook her fiercely.

"Are you CRAZY?!? Yeh kya bakwas sochliya tumne!"
"Raman I know..." she tried to calm him down.
"Puri zindagi kya, tumhare bina ek din bhi nahin seh paaya!"
"Main sirf yeh..."
"I LOVE YOU DAMMIT!!"

Ishita looked up startled. His gaze pierced through her. As his breathing calmed down he jerked her body to himself, holding her waist tightly and spoke with intensity.

"I love you Ishita! No conditions, no requirements, nothing. Maine kaha than na, saath janam tak tum meri ho. Chahe Ruhi na ho, na Adi, na koi aur. Lekin hum...hum honge hamesha. I love you, I love you, I love you! Pagal!"

Ishita laughed, her heart igniting in happiness as the newly said words infused into her being. She touched his face gently wanting to drown in the moment, in his embrace. "Jaanti hoon. But I love you more." It was his turn to laugh as she teased with her tongue.
"Kitne pagal hain hum dono. Pehle se saaf saaf feelings ki baat karte toh yeh sab self-torture nai hoti." He had gathered her to himself as tightly as possible, breathing out his words huskily.

She smiled, "Tab kisne socha ke Raavan Kumar aur Jhansi ki Rani soul mates honge!Raman grinned back "Soulmates! Oye Madrassan, tum kab itni romantic ho gayi?"

Ishita was absentmindedly tracing a fingertip along the stubble line on his cheek when the brightness in his eyes began to darken once again. When she realized this she let him go, nervousness causing her to drift a little from his arms. "Kyun main romantic nahin ban sakti?"

"Nai, please bano bano. Especially aaj raat." As she turned away in shyness, he took the opportunity to encircle her from behind, leaning into the crook of her neck. "Waise, yeh kaisa laga Madrassan?" Though she relaxed into him as he held her, when they turned to look at the curtained bed her body stiffened again. He withdrew and turned her around to face him slowly.

"Nervous?"
She nodded, looking down.
"Mujhpe bharosa hain?"
She nodded again.
"Phir?"

She turned away hoping it would be easier to say this if he wasn't looking at her. It was impossible to properly put into words this particular fear. How could she say that she was afraid of disappointing him? Of being compared to Shagun? Ishita knew she was a stronger, smarter and better person than Shagun but she would never be prettier than her. After being married to a woman that desirable, could Raman ever be satisfied with someone as simple as her? She knew he loved her but in these matters, it was never just about that was it? Doubt clouded her every thought. "Raman, mujhe darr lagta hai...ke aap...ke aap khush nahin honge."

Somehow Raman seemed to understand what was bothering her, even if he was in the dark about the exact reason for the insecurity. He watched her standing nearby looking away from him, her sari wrapped alluringly around those yet unseen curves and thought that his wife must be truly mad to doubt how completely gorgeous and perfect she was to him.

"Honge? Khushi toh mujhe ab bhi nahin hai...sher ke muh meh jo haat daalne wala hoon!" He had made that joke just so he could see her miffed pout and she didn't disappoint. Raman thought back to all the times she had done that and how hard it was to control himself from grabbing her and wiping the pout off her lips. "Mujhe maarne ka iraadha hai kya?"

"Maine kya kiya?"
"Waise hi mujhse control nahi ho raha...aur ab aisi expressions dogi to bilkul hi nahi hogi." She gave him a suspicious look. "Jab bhi tum aise pout karti ho, gusse wali aankh banati ho ya phir Kuch bhi!' kehti ho...toh mere andar ka tumhara jo Raavan hai na? Usko bahut bure bure khayal aate hain apni biwi ke baare mein."

Ishita watched as her husband advanced on her slowly, like a predator stalking its prey. There was a heat emanating from his eyes that caused her to back away slowly.

"Tumhe yaad hai us raat baarish mein kuch kuch hota hai moment?" He was circling her now. "Mere dimaag mein ek hi soch chal raha tha...darr ki agar main tumhe chod du main jal jaunga. That I only existed where I touched you because that's all I could feel of myself." He ran his fingers down her arms sending a shiver up her back. Holding her hands he followed as she backed away further.

"Aur jab haat fracture hua...party mein mujhe tumhari sari baandni padi yaad hai? Mujhe laga, kitna bewakoof hoon main...sari lagane mein tha jab nikaalne ki sapne kitney dino se dekh raha tha." She jerked as her back hit the wall. Their noses were inches apart and she felt his warm breath on her. She remembered that moment clearly, the tenseness that she had felt from his proximity, the blood that had started boiling when he touched her while tucking in her pleats. She couldn't have known what was running through his mind then but hearing now that he was as electrified as her brought back the feeling in full force. The feather light touches being showered on her face now helped too. He ran his fingers down her neck to her collarbone to the edge of her sari. There was silvery glitter on her from when the bottle fell. "Agar safety pin lagane ke bajay..." his words trailed off as the action finished his thought. He had traced the sari up to her shoulder and softly slipped off the pallu from her completely.

"Raman..." Before she could say anything further he closed the little remaining distance between them and she felt his warm lips on the crook of her neck. She snaked a hand into his hair as her front pressed up against his chest and all thoughts flew out of her mind. He tracked his nose along her neck and up to her ear, her breathing growing heavy as he drew up. But he pulled back then to look at her, his eyes blazing with a dangerous passion.

"Ek saal se maine apne aap ko kaabu main rakhne ki koshish ki." Her eyes questioned as he continued. "Tumhare office mein...custody ki hearing ho rahi thi na thab? Haath bandage karte waqt, tabhi pehli baar..." He thumb came up to trace her lips and Ishita's heart skipped a beat. "I so badly wanted to kiss you in that moment. And every moment since. Tumse door rehne ki koshish ki kyunki main jaanta tha agar tum aur paas aayi toh mujhse raha nahi jayega. Aaj se mujhe sirf ek baat se disappointment hoga, agar tum mujhse door rahogi. Nahi rahogi na?" His voice had grown huskier with each word.

Ishita's heart swelled to a size bigger than she thought possible. Any doubts she had about herself or his desire for her were lost now upon hearing his side of their shared moments. A bubbling anticipation and frenzied longing was now released inside her instead. She shook her head in response to his question.

"Pakka?"
"Raman?" He was brushing her waist softly as his nose touched hers.
"Hmm?"
"Aur ek saal ka intezaar hai kya?" He pulled back sharply, the glint returning to his eye. He smiled proudly at her. "Haye mere Jhansi ki Rani..."

And without further delay he took her mouth in a searing kiss that was deepened immediately. She pulled him into herself fiercely, loving the weight of his body pressing her against the wall. As she granted deeper access to his tongue a soft moan escaped her that broke his last reserve. Hurriedly freeing her from the remainder of the sari he carried her over to the bed and set her down. Their eyes remained connected as he undressed himself and joined her. Slowly he unwrapped the rest of her; showering close attention on every long-imagined curve and hidden nook that he uncovered. Her long sighs and soft gasps gave him a first lesson on her body. A lesson he hoped to revise often. When they finally crossed the last barrier separating them, there could no longer be a question of how much they desired each other. All the yearning of the last year poured out of them, replaced with new desires from the knowledge of each other's needs.

Epilogue

Raman woke up with still heavy eyes but smiled seeing Ishita sleeping peacefully close to him. She looked even more beautiful in this state, her hair spread out widely on the pillow, a bare shoulder showing outside the sheet and a gentle smile resting on her lips. He had dreamed of waking up like this next to her for so long he had to savor the moment. After staring at her for a good ten minutes she began to stir.

Ishita opened her eyes to Raman's dimpled smile greeting her. His hair was a ruffled mess and she blushed remembering that it was her doing last night. He looked incredibly irresistible and though she had only been awake for a few seconds, her heart was already racing. He was eyeing her mischievously. "Kumbkaran ki dadi ki tarah so rahi ho. Pata bhi hai kya time hai!"

"Oh no, kya time hai! Mummiji kya kahenge." She made a rush to get out of the bed pushing aside the soft curtains. Remembering that she was naked underneath, she suddenly felt shy at the edge of the bed about removing the sheet in front of Raman. She looked around and he was resting his head on his palm, calmly waiting for her to do exactly this.

Getting a doubt she checked the clock on the wall. It was only 6am. "Raavan kumar, hadh karte ho! Srif chhe bhaje hai!" She threw a pillow at him in mock anger as he laughed.

"Arrey yaar kabhi kabhi free show ke liye aise jhooth chalte hai." She sat far away from him at the edge of the bed with her arms folded adorably in put-on anger. He tried to pull her closer but she wasn't budging. Instead he wickedly began to pull on the sheet. A surprised Ishita tried to hold onto it in vain. As the sheet got away from her bit by bit, she was forced to move closer back to Raman in order to stay covered.

"Kahaa jaogi Jhansi ki Rani." Ishita hit him playfully as they huddled closer but stayed without further protest. She thought back to the previous night again, recalling how her Raavan had been just as contradictory in lovemaking as he was in everything else. Gentle when she needed it most but also intensely sensual and demanding at times. He had driven her senses wild with feather light touches but also with love bites he would then thoroughly soothe. Her inner temperature rose as the moments resurfaced in her mind.

Raman had been watching her intently for a few minutes and noticed the color surge up. She was running her hands through his disheveled hair to straighten it unsuccessfully. He had learned a treasure trove of new things last night, including the fact that when she blushed her face wasn't the only thing that turned red. In fact the blush would spread well down her chest but there was a spot or two that remained creamy like islands in an ocean of flush. Little features like these about her body had enamoured him.

For Ishita's part she discovered a special spot, that when caressed, elicited a moan from him which had exulted her. She reveled in the idea of having the power to get such a response from her husband. Then she proceeded to fully exploit the advantage with her lips, successfully driving him off the edge, which had only benefited her in the end. She was teasingly touching it now, watching him from the corner of her eye.

"Ishitaaa..." His voice escaped in a throaty growl as he buried his face into her neck. She smiled and whispered back into his ear that was near her mouth. "I love you Raman."

"Kitni baar bologi yaar, bore ho gaya"
"Ab jab bahar nikla hai toh baar baar kehne ko man karta hai", she replied.

Lifting his head he flashed a dimpled smile, "Aur mujhe bhi baar baar sunne ko man karta hai."

"Kaash hum pure din yehi reh sakte."
"Rehenge na"
"Gharwale punchenge nahin?"
"Promise already bhool gayi? At least ek din ka toh dhyaan do"

As he spoke he tracked a finger down below her neck to where the little islands were visible until a few minutes ago. He realized there were still remnants of the glitter on her body; now spread all over from their night's doings. A song floated into his mind and before realizing he started singing softly, surprising Ishita.

"Badan pe sitare lapate hue...oh jaane tamanna kidhar jaa rahi ho" Putting his arm around her under the sheet, Raman drew Ishita right up against himself. They were both conscious of their bodies touching each other completely. Slowly he rubbed her back as his eyes burned into hers. "Zara paas aao, toh chain aajaye..."

Unable to withstand his heated gaze, Ishita dropped her eyes. Raman slowly reached over to kiss each gently, then making his way down took her mouth in a scorching kiss. Soon they were entwined again and were lost to everything but each other.
