I think Sid deserved the slap. Raj must have been pretty angry that his son did not confide such a big thing with him. Raj treats Sid as his friend and is a very understanding person so expects Sid to share all his problems.

I mean if Sid would have shared his problem with anyone else (Roshni, Raj or even DD!) the divorce would not have gone through. No matter how good a human being you are, making life changing decisions without any consultation is a pretty stupid decision (and worthy of a slap). Not that I don't feel bad for Sid.

Sorry, I still disagree. If Sid told Raj, then Raj would have without a doubt, fixed the problem. Ok, I understand DD has her pride issues that prevents her from accepting back her her property/business. So, Raj won't have found the permanent fix, but a short term fix could have easily been arranged. Raj could have arranged for a house and even promised (with documents and everything) that he will take rent. Or that it is a long term loan (with INTEREST for DD's pride, so that she doesn't feel it is just for family's sake!).

And if DD still refuses to take the legitimate loan, rent arrangement then someone whether it be Raj or Sid or Mona tells DD to shut the freaking hell up and not to make a scene. I mean, DD can beg in front of a random landlord (that is fine for her), but to take a little bit of temporary help from her son like Jamai is so disgraceful?

I mean, there is no way, under any circumstance that it makes sense to give divorce for temporary accommodation. There is a reason, why noone would let Sid carry out his decision, because it is foolish and wrong. And if Sid is refusing consultation, as he knows he is wrong, then I guess he is responsible. Yes, I know Simran is actually responsible. But an extension to that is that actually Kritika is responsible. From Roshni's/Raj's point of view, Sid is responsible for making such a rash/foolish decision.

Tbh, when someone supposedly intelligent like Sid makes such a foolish decision, like this it is pretty obvious the CVs are trying to forcefully justify his decision. In real life, no one intelligent and a fairly good human would ever make such a decision (I really hope not!).
