The episode starts with Kabir and Ananya discussing the Chibber case. Ananya points out some suspicious things like the driver being left handed but the gun was in his right hand and how this cannot be a suicide but a murder. Kabir is impressed with her quick reasoning and compliments her! Ananya smiles. Kabir calls his chief inspector friend and he tells the latter about the new developments in the case. He also takes Ananya's inputs. The inspector and Kabir decide to dig in more into the matter.Kabir asks Ananya to investigate next morning.
It is night. Kabir asks Ananya how she would go home but Malvika interrupts them to go for their dinner date and Kabir leaves but just before, he tells Ananya that she can go home with his driver. She is touched that he cared but is disturbed about him and Malvika. Ronnie sees all this. They leave. At night, she thinks about the same and smiles at his caring gesture. Meanwhile, Malvika and Kabir are at her place. They drink and chat. Just then, Manav comes barging in and invites himself to join themđ He tries to instigate Kabir by saying that he's married but the latter corrects him that he was. Kabir is disturbed and Manav gloats.
Next day, Ananya overhears Manav congratulating himself on having got a scoop on Kabir and warns him to watch out. She decides to tell Kabir but gets sidetracked when Varun comes and offers her sweets for being selected in the team. She sees a delivered lunch package and a note to Kabir from Malvika which reads that this was a small token since their dinner was missed the previous night. Ananya doesn't like it. The office also discuss about the same. Manav meets some source of his and finds out about Kabir's various stringers (a paid freelance journalist who contributes photos/reports to a news organization) and is elated on knowing this and orders his source to find out more inside info about these people.
Ananya goes to interview the chief inspector who gives her exclusive coverage on the case. Their plan was to leak the news that the driver had survived and this way the guy who had tried to kill him, tries to do so once again and is caught by the police who are on watch thus proving that this was in fact a murder and not suicide. Ananya asks him if he knew Kabir from before, after the interview to which he tells her how Kabir had helped him solve a medical scandal case. Ananya muses about this,looks at her pendant and remembers an incident of people accusing someone of murder. Kabir ends by telling Malvika that be it a relationship or news, either of them play with our emotions and it is upto us to decide which relation or news is valuable enough that we can bear its pain.
Precap- Manav sees a woman Tarini talking to Kabir about how without him, she wouldn't have been able to manage and then hugs him. He realizes that she may be more than a stringer and decides to do something about it.
