Hi People. Decided to pen a TS after I got some excellent comments for my OS Blush Blush.
This one is basically my take of the scene from the show itself where after Adi refused to dance with Raman at Shagun's Sangeet ceremony , Ishita leads Raman to the stage and they have a romantic dance. I am going to completely avoid the "Ishita getting arrested" drama and explore how things proceed from there between Raman & Ishita . The first chapter below is more of Raman's POV. Please note that I am not attempting to rewrite the epic Kya' , "aap hi boldo" scene. This one's going to be less of a gush fest for now.

Chapter - 1
Raman found himself a quiet corner in the party hall ,to catch his breath and take stock of what had just happened in the last 10 mins. Yes he was mighty disappointed when his own son had refused to share a stage with him. But before that disappointment could start hurting , he had seen his lovely wife walking towards him . Her confident stride and ravishing smile told him that she was definitely up to something and as if on cue Mihir's voice boomed on the mic announcing gleefully that Raman & Ishita will now perform on the lovely song Manwa Laage . Even before he processed this information inside his head , she had taken his hand and led him on to the stage, all the while keeping her eyes fixed on his. He was trying to read the exact emotion in her eyes but the opening beats of the song kind of jolted him back. He saw her starting to lip sync to the melodious voice of Shreya Ghoshal and move around gracefully. He realized that he himself had started to move rhythmically and it surprised him that it was happening without a lot of conscious effort. His heart was thundering as if in competition with the beats of the song . He swirled her ,back- hugged her, turned her around took 2 steps back, pulled her on to him and every time her body came in contact with his, he had involuntarily breathed in her scent and reveled in her warmth. For an onlooker it would have looked like he was taking the lead all throughout but only he knew that she was the one who was leading him with her eyes. The song ended with him holding her in a protective embrace, his head lifted up and her forehead touching the base of his neck. They were breathing heard by now but in sync with each other. The sound of the loud applause and hoots from the crowd brought them back to reality. They bowed down to the audience and got off the stage.
He was slightly disappointed that she had immediately walked over and joined their family without sparing a few minutes to talk to him or to even look at him. He saw Mihir, Mihika and Simi talking excitedly to her but unfortunately from where he was standing, he couldn't see her face. He himself was now surrounded by friends and other guests who were complementing him on their wonderful and sensuous performance. From the corner of his eye he saw Ruhi running to her Ishima , hugging her tight and showering kisses on her. He felt a strange kind of warmth spread across his body and it was so overwhelming that he felt himself welling up a little. Ruhi now ran to him excitedly. He picked her up ,kissed her forehead and held her in a tight embrace unaware that Ruhi's Ishima was now watching the father daughter duo , the same kind of emotions wreaking havoc inside her. Ruhi wiggled out of his embrace now, wanting to play with other kids. Raman realized he needed to be alone with Ishita right now , the party was the last thing he cared about. He wanted to go home now and talk to her . He took a step towards her and then immediately decided otherwise . What exactly was he going to talk to her? He felt so many emotions swirling inside himself ,denting the initial excitement a little bit. He needed to clear his head first and that's when he decided to find a quiet corner and do some soul searching .
Yes he had taken a lot of impulsive decisions in his life and had borne the brunt of those decisions as well. But his relationship with Ishita is now too precious and any decision related to that could not be taken on an impulse. He had been thinking for a few weeks now about his growing feelings for her. He had questioned and cross questioned himself repeatedly in a bid to find out his true feelings for her. He had imagined every possible hardship coming their way and asked himself whether he would stand by her. He didn't find it difficult to answer his own questions. He knew that he would stand by her no matter what .He still chose to do this rigorous soul searching because he had hurt her , insulted her, disappointed her many times in the past. He had acted like a complete jerk misunderstanding her relationship with Mani. The presence of Mani in her life and his own reaction towards their friendship had served as an eye opener to him. But his jealousy and past experience had gotten the better of him and blinded him to such an extent that instead of accepting his feelings for her and confessing the same he had accused her of having an affair with Mani . Enough was enough. He can't afford to make any more mistakes. He doesn't even know whether she has it in her to forgive him for all the hurt and pain he had caused her. Today when she took his hand to lead him to the stage what he saw in her eyes was a mixture of different emotions - a sense of ownership over him which is her right as his wife, tender loving care and just a spark of something else which she was trying hard not to show. This was all the boost he needed and he decided he will talk to her tonight as soon as they can get out of this place. He will have to choose his words carefully but he knew he didn't need a script. He would know what to speak when he faces her. But in all this excitement he was also quick to warn himself to be prepared for any disappointment. She may not be ready to move ahead and if that was the case he was ready to accept it and give her all the time in the world. With this last thought on his mind , he walked into the crowd to find her.
