Rajat Tokas, TV Akbar is a talented actor who gained recognition at very early stage in life. No wonder, the actor deserves every bit of attention he is getting for his portrayal ofAkbar.
Here we share his biography:
Born on 19th July, 1991 in South Delhi's Munirka, Rajat went to the Hope Hall Foundation School in Delhi's R.K. Puram area. At a very early age Rajat Tokas started showing interest in acting. His father Ramvir Tokas who could see his passion, then encouraged him to choose acting as his career. Not just encouraging, Ramvir Tokas also left his job to make sure he gives enough attention to his son and his career.
When Tokas was 15, he came from Delhi to Mumbai to give his first audition. It was for the TV serial Sai Baba, a Sagar Arts Production. Rajat passed the audition test and bagged the role of Sai Baba's brother Tantya. His father too had accompanied him. Before he auditioned for Sai Bai, he was seen working as a junior artist in movies. Kathputali, Godh Liye Dadaji, W.H.O and Stumped are some of the films where he acted as a junior artist.
Although he entered in the TV industry as a junior artist, he quickly became famous when he got the role of Prithvi Raj Chauhan in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha - Prithvi Raj Chauhan. His fan following soon started increasing. Today, the actor has massive fan following, not just in India, but around the world. Besides, his chemistry with his co-star Mugdha Chapekar was much appreciated. No wonder, together they bagged the "Yogya Jodi" award in Star Parivar Awards.
Some of the TV serials where he was seen as junior artist - Light House for Children, Mera Dost, Jadui Chirag, Hey Hawain, Ek Nazar Ki Tamanna, Abhivyakti and Khoj Khajane Ki.
Rajat's next project - Dharam Veer along with Vikrant Massey added to his "being famous" quotient. The young boy looked just fab in the serial, and the audience loved him as Veer. Because of these two serials, he also got other TV serials including Keshav Pandit and Balaji's Tere Liye.
After Dharam Veer, Rajat finally bagged a Balaji Telefilm's show where he played the role of Robi aka Robindo Ganguly, brother to the main lead. Here too the chemistry between him and his co-star Neha Saxena was well appreciated, so much that the duo even starred together in Fear Files Darr Ki Sacchi Tasveerein.
We cannot think of anybody else than Rajat when we think of Mughal Emperor Akbar. His face quickly comes in front of us the moment the name Akbar rings in our mind. Yes, the young lad is just so flawless in the historical show even after so many leaps. Here, too he shares a great chemistry with his Jodha, Paridhi Sharma. However, the truth remains that Akbar and Jodha are not so friendly otherwise in real life.
After dating for almost a year, Rajat tied the knot with his girlfriend Shrishti Nayyar in a royal affair at Rajasthan. He married on 30th January 2015 and even took a 10 to 15 days break from Jodha Akbar to give him quality time to his wife.
A talented actor, we just hope Rajat Tokas gain more and more success in the coming years...
