Sajid snaps up Sushant for action thriller

After the debacle of Dibakar Banerjee's period espionage drama, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, Sushant Singh Rajput is back to the present with an action thriller being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. "Sushant was the first and last choice for the yet-untitled film. He signed it last month," reveals a source close to the development.

Meanwhile, the actor will be travelling to the US in June to train in Krav Maga to prepare for the role. The martial art, developed by the Israeli military, mixes judo, boxing, wrestling, aikido and counter-attack moves.

Last year, both Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu trained in the form for their roles as undercover agents in Neeraj Pandey's Baby. Katrina Kaif also took a course in Cape Town for her high-octane action sequences in the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor starrer Jagga Jasoos.

I am so confused about his movies. They're announced and then delayed or shelved, or he's replaced altogether. Too much of that happening..

Sajid Nadiadwala signs Sushant Singh Rajput for his next action-thriller

Sushant Singh Rajput has impressed many with his acting abilities. Be it Kai Po Che or Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, he has nailed his characters pretty well. We now hear that one of Sushant's admirer, Sajid Nadiadwala, has signed him up for an untitled project.

A source revealed, "Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to sign Sushant for one of his upcoming projects. I don't know much about the film; but the film will be a big-budget romantic, action-thriller."

The film will go on floors once Sushant wraps up Homi Adajania's Raabta. Our source adds, "Sushant was seen at Nadiadwala's office a few days back. They were discussing the script. If everything falls into place, then the shooting begin towards the end of the year or early 2016. "

The team is apparently yet to zero in on the director. Interestingly, Sushant will travel to USA after wrapping up Dhoni's biopic. He will undergo training in Krav Maga from some of the best experts in world as he is expected to do a lot of action and hand-to-hand combats in the film. However, the final draft of the script is still being finalised.

They need to be back! Need more of Wlecome to Sajjanpur and Udaan. Don't know why Vikas Bahl left.

Btw, they had announced a film called Babloo Ki jawaani last year. Any idea about what happened to the movie?

I'm losing interest in this guy...he is hardly seen shooting. 😕 What happened to that upcoming Biopic? I don't see it happening any soon. So much gap between movies ain't a good thing.

OT: I don't think it is true...sounds like a random rumour.
