Another heart-wrenching episode.. I watched one more episode with a heavy heart.. Star of the episode was undoubtably Mahima.. She really lived as Disha today.. Her portrayal of the daughter in grief was just perfect... Her expressions and body language made every viewer feel a daughter's pain.. And then her portrayal of loyal daughter who defended her father with all her might was just awesome... She was the perfect daughter who has complete faith & pride on her father,. It pains me so much to think how she will be broken up when she comes to know of her father's role in her mother's death.

Yes, Mr. Kapoor is suffering too, but I really hated him today.. He didn't even let the kids grieve in peace, his badmouthing Ram again and again, how could a daughter who just lost her mother bear this taunting.. He was so insensitive to the kids' feelings.. I think there was totally 3 confrontations between Disha and Mr, Kapoor. Actually Mr, Kapoor looked incensed with Disha in the last 2 confrontations, not upset with his daughter's death.. How dare he to blame to Ram for leaving Anu in the hospital, Disha was perfect in retaliating when she questioned whether he fulfilled his responsibility as father to blame her father.

The biggest medical blooper of the show so-far. The doctor and nurse had not noticed the life support system being off during the whole time they tried to revive Anu,. They may not have noticed the switch being off, but how is it possible not to notice the machines not working.. It sounds so stupid.. Nurse noticed it today and police is called promptly. The cot's changed position is also noticed.

And another stupidity is Ram's that GFN friend Karan.. His action of taking Ram off from the hospital made Ram look guilty.. Don't know what he was thinking. How long he thought he can keep Ram under lock?

Ram was not in his senses today,.. He was just shaken up. Yes, that too happens in extreme case of grief. There is nothing in his mind except what he is made to do, his instinct to hurt his hands which did the act, very natural. He wasn't even thinking about his kids until Karan reminded him. When he remembered about kids, he wanted to reach to them.. But that stupid Kiran locked him in.. Grrr.

Poor kids, they had to pay the price, such a huge grief, they need to bear it without their father besides them, on top it, Mr, Kapoor's taunts.. Really really feel bad for the kids. Disha not just had to fight off her grandfather, but also the police :(. Ram is the primary suspect now, with CCTV footage not showing anyone else entering the ward. They also have taken the finger prints.. Will it have any effect as Anu's finger print must be the latest (and more prominent) on the switch, but what if by the time finger prints results come, Anu's body is cremated and they can't get her finger prints to match by any means?

When they aired the episode which had Anu pulling off the oxygen mask, Suganthi told me that the nurse's repeated question of who removed the tubes will come back to haunt Ram.. Yes, that's what exactly happened today. Nurse updated that Ram tried to remove the mask once before (which she doesn't know for sure) and also about Ram telling not to change the IV before Anu passed away.. The rope is tightening around Ram's neck..

Ram is not having any idea that what he did can be constructed as crime.. Poor guy, he thinks he didn't do any crime, but just fulfilled his wife's wishes and ended her misery.. I think he will try to fight off the case in the court of law. Maybe, he will be able to prove that it is Anu's wish and also she is the one who did the deed (with the finger print). But the biggest question is will Disha forgive him? She has so much trust on him.. Once his action comes out, it will be completely broken and she may start hating her father with the same vehemence with which she defended him today.. I shudder to think of Ram's state (and Disha's too)..
Precap : Disha needing to take the painful decision of starting Anu's last procession without her father, and Ram in a taxi hurrying up to reach.. Will Ram get to see his beloved face one last time? Not sure.. Considering Ram's fate, it seems to be not happening :(.

ram and disha separation is we all know from beginning..but how long will this separation is going to remain?? it will depends upon how much sentence ram going to get in court...ram might get at least 7 year imprisonment if his guilt is proved..
one more thing--i dont want disha going to mr.kapoors house..but...they might not have any option left if ram goes to jail...

p.s--who is going to play grown up dishas role??is it mahima or some one else??

I am not 100% sure Ram will get imprisonment. The poilce did mention about finger print dusting, they may find that Anu's finger print being the last over the switch. Maybe they will find some diary or letter left by Anu expressing her wish not to live with the supoort of machines? A patient has the right to reject treatment, it is not same as suicide. It is a common and legal procedure to leave something called living will where an individual can specify their wish to use or not to use life support systems when the need arises. If the paitient expresses his/ her wish (either by a writien document or by words to the doctor)not to live with the supoort of machines, the medical fraternity is obliged to follow the patient's wish,. Taking off life supoort system based on the patient's wish is a legal procedure whereas ending the life by external means (such as injecting poison) is illegal. If Ram can prove that he was only fulfilling Anu's wish, he may be get off with only a warning about not informing the doctors about Anu's wish.

Even if Ram can't prove this, this case is not a cold blooded murder, it is more in line with passive euthanasia (not even active euthanasia as no external means used to end the life). Hence, the sentence won't be severe, he will probably get about 2 years imprsionment.

As per articles, Disha meets a guy in college who becomes her friend and supoort system and later romantic interest. If Disha is going to be college going girl by the time Ram comes back from jail, they don't need another actor to play the role.

Yes, I think Disha & Aarav will be living with Kapoors. Really sad state of affairs for the kids..

Great episode. Hands down, highlight was Mahima. She was literally beyond perfect today. I loved her. Hats off.

I didn't like that Mr. Kapoor guy either. During such an event, does he not have enough common sense to realize that badmouthing Ram could be so hurtful? Didn't see a father type of role inside him at all today. When he told Disha to control herself, like that's just plain stupidity. The child has just lost her mother, in what cost do you expect her to control herself. Ridiculous. I really don't look forward to Disha and Aarav living with the Kapoors.

This Karan guy confused me. I think it was very crucial for Ram to be there at the moment for his children. And he backed out, he didn't murder Anu. All he did was push the bed behind, how is that murder? Yeah, it was easier for her to switch off the life support but did he really kill her? I think not. He wasn't even there during the time Anu switched off the life support. He wasn't even a witness. In this case, I'm not sure why Ram is getting pointed fingers at. No necessity to lock Ram inside some room also. Karan doesn't seem like a very understanding friend. Only good thing he did was stopping Ram from cutting off his hands because for a second there I really thought he'd do that.

Another thing that absolutely killed me was the kids. I felt sooo bad for them. Mahima did a great job today as Disha, but I'm going to have to give credit to Aarav (not sure what his real name is) because he really got my heart pounding.

Overall, very very good episode. Looking forward to tomorrow's as usual.

Sanjana,

Yes, Mr. Kapoor was behaving very insensitively yesterday. And to he frank, I had seen only vengeance against Ram in him, not the love for Anu.

See, Karan doesn't know that all Ram did was pushing the cot. Ram told him he killed Anu, and didn't offer any other explanation. I think karan's initial reaction is understandable. He was just trying to protect Ram, that was instinctive, but he should have realised that he is worsening the situation after a while, atleast when he himself seen the state of the kids. Yes, I too did think Ram is going to hurt himself.

Yes, Aarav was very good, unlike Disha, he is at an age where the consequences of death are not really understanble. :(

so far all mercy killing requests in Indian courts are rejected and courts not allowed ending patients life..
here ram not even fallowed legal procedure which requires filing mercy killing petition in courts..so it is case of abetting suicide --which itself going to be treated as criminal act..
i don't know how many years sentence ram going to get --but sure he is going to get some years imprisonment..

may be 2 years--or 3 years--5 years -7 years..so small leap show going to take..

if its 2 or 3 years then cvs will keep mahima and show her as collage going girl..i think it may be possible scenario..

She was an educated girl..so how could she do this stupidity

Till the real reason will came out of Anu death in front of others Ram have to live in guilt and grief but he has only fulfil his wife last wish and if this truth revealed to Disha don't know whether she will able to forgive her father whom she defend against Mr kapoor earlier.

Pulling off the plug is not same as Mercy killing / active euthanasia. Yes, if the patient's near & dears takes this decision they need to get the court petition approved. But there are cases when the team of doctors take the decision that there is no hope for the patient and and get consent consent of the family to do the deed. But that is only in brain dead cases, which is not applicable here.
As I said earlier, if a patient chose to not to live with the support of machines, he / she have every legal right to do so. It is not suicide, the practice of leaving a living will is an accepted legal procedure even in India. Mercy killing or active euthanasia is accelerating the patient's death by external measures, such as injecting something to the patient. But pulling off the plug is just deciding not to take the help of advancements in medical science and every individual has a right to reject treatment in every country.

In this case, there was no need for living will as Anu was in her senses till the end. If she had expressed her wish of not living with the support of machines to the doctor, the doctors are morally & legally bound to give in to her unless they are nor convinced of her mental stabilty.

But, the situation now is dicey, there is no clear cut proof that it is Anu's wish. As both Anu & Ram decided to take the matters in their own hand without informing the doctor, the situation is complicated.. If someway Ram or his defending lawyer can prove that Ram was only fulfilling Anu's wishes, there is every chance of Ram getting acquitted. As I said, he may still be warned for not informing doctors.

Both Anu & Ram should have been aware of the legal complications, but they didn't. But we can't really blame Anu or even Ram for this. Anu seemed more of a practical person and Ram an emotional person. The street-smart Anu should have thought of the consequences, but in her last days, she was in too much of suffering to think clearly of the consequences, she only knew that she didn't want to live like that
