Hi,
I am 23 years old Female from India. Couple of months back I was diagnosed with Gallstone. The ultrasound report says I have 14mm stone in gall bladder. The doctor says it would require laproscopic surgery.

He said that I will be fine in few days and start eating normally. I read some articles on internet that said almost same thing. But recently I came across a website where people who had the gallstone surgery posted their experience.

I have gotten very scared since reading their views. They all seemed better before the surgery. All of them complaint about extreme pain and diarrhea even year after the surgery. They have to be admitted to hospital several times and had to go through various treatment but still not feeling well.

All this has scared me and now I have second thoughts about having surgery. I am actually depressed now. What should I do. Please advice.

Don't read stories on net! It will only discourage and scare you. People having problem only post there, ones whose surgery was a success do not post as they have no worries!

My father's colleague had his entire gall bladder removed two months ago.. He's been doing well. Only some minor diet changes... But he's as good as normal.

Don't delay the surgery.. Have faith. Be strong. Good luck, everything will go well! :)
