Written Update CID: April 12,2015: Golden Eye Gang

Hey guys. I'm back to do written updates after almost 4 months. Really missed doing it. I'm back now😃 Sorry if there are mistakes.

Case Title: Golden Eye Gang

Air Date: 12th April, 2015

A hostess welcomes everyone to a painting competition and also welcomes a famous artist Ruthra Kumar. The contest would be for just two minutes and the themes will be decided by the lots. Ruthra Kumar's father takes leave from the place. The hostess calls an Aakash and at that time a hooded guy comes forth, paints a golden eye and walks away. Ruthra Kumar gasps and demands to know who it was and he runs behind the man, but loses him. The hostess finds him and takes him to the corridor where he is horrified on seeing his dad's corpse.

The scene changes to a Vivan's house where Viman is trying to call Ruthra Kumar. Suhaana(his friend) then takes leave from the house to leave for Pune the next morning for a conference. Tanya, his wife, comes downstairs and opens a gift containing a chain with a golden eye locket. Viman gets angry, snatches the chain from Tanya and throws it aside. Viman goes to the wash room and calls Ruthra Kumar who says someone has killed his dad and Viman promises to reach him in 15 mins.

In the crime scene, the team investigates and finds that the man had been killed with a professional painter's knife where there are finger prints. Daya sir asks Freddy to take everyone's fingerprints and check up. One man named Mandip had first spotted the corpse and says he saw no one around then. The hostess tells them about the anonymous painter and the team is shown the painting. Daya sir asks Ruthra if his dad was with him when the sketch was made and Ruthra says that he had left 2 mins before. Daya sir and Shreya infer that probably the man had drew the eye and then killed Ruthra's dad. Ruthra says that his dad had knee problems due to age and couldn't walk fast. Daya sir tells it was possible that the guy had an accomplice. Viman comes in at that time and Freddy takes in the fingerprints of everyone there in the auditorium. As the team crosses the corridor, Ruthra and Viman are seen having a squabble and the team moves on.

Following the call from home, he hurries into his house and questions if Tanya had returned. His parents say that she was not in any of her friend's house.

In the forensic lab, the team learns that the fingerprints on the knife and the brush were one and the same and also that the chemicals obtained from the knife were used to restore old paintings as new ones.

The team goes to Viman's house and Viman is surprised to learn that the team had come to enquire about his missing wife. Viman tries to bluff up saying that she must have gone to her friend's house but the maid says otherwise and shows Tanya's phone to Abhijeet sir. Abhijeet orders a thorough check of the house and during this time Viman receives the phone call and after speaking he seems happy. Abhijeet asks him and he says it was a work stuff. Viman's parents come out of the room and Viman reasons saying that he didn't want to put their lives at risk and hence was sending them to America. Abhijeet and co search outdoors and Abhijeet finds the chain. Viman denies knowing anything about the symbolic eye and tells that probably someone might have lost it during the party. Viman calls Ruthra and they talk that perhaps 'the one'has returned and they talk to Suhaana on conference and ask her to be careful. A cable operator hands over a bill with the symbol, which apparently Suhaana fails to notice while placing it in the drawer.

In the bureau, ACP sir and others watch the contest footage closely and they find the initials AG on the hooded man's coat. Searching the criminal database they find that the Golden Eye Gang had operated between 2004 and 2010. They lent huge sums to college students and when they weren't able to return it, they had forced the students to do smuggling and other illegal stuff. In 2010 Jackie, the leader, was arrested and was in Tarapur jail. ACP sir wonders if someone else is running the gang or if Jackie is working from inside. Shreya tells them that an Art Galleria was the one that matched the initials.

In the AG, Daya sir wants everyone's fingerprints as the team believes that it was one of the staffs that committed the murder. One man, with hands full of paint, says he'd wash it and tries to escape but Daya sir catches him and hands him a tight slap.

In the jail, Jackie tells that he has no hand in the murder and in the kidnapping. Shreya tells that according to the register, Ruthra and Viman had come to meet him in the morning. Sachin demands to know his accomplices and he refuses to open up. ACP sir threatens him and he finally agrees.

In the AG, the man tells he killed Ruthra's dad by mistake. He says that he had received a letter along with a picture of the golden eye and was asked to do it. He didn't know who wanted him to this. He says that he doesn't have the letter with him. He says that he had read the word Satara on the letter.

Viman and Ruthra are sitting tensed in a car and they almost panic when they both get a phone call.

Suhaana, in her house, is playing with her son and the cable operator drops in for the money. When Suhaana goes to bring the money and the bill, she finds the symbol on the bill and gasps. Coming to the hall, she finds her son Kunal missing. She searches for Kunal but finds Tanya lying motionless on the floor. Her phone rings and her breath quickens.

Shreya gets information of the entire list of members in the gang except an Abeer and tells that she was not able to reach his phone number. ACP sir asks them to bring in whoever is there in the address written there. Abeer's father tells that his son had gone missing 5 years before and they haven't had any news on him since then. His mother tells that he had gone to Satara with an Anushka, with an intention to stop illegal activities and start a new chapter of his life. They get Anushka's address. Daya calls ACP sir to tell him that Ruthra and Viman were on conference call with Suhaana who was a member of the gang.

One team reaches Pune and in Suhaana's house they find the door opened. Searching, they find Tanya's corpse. Daya sir says that perhaps Suhaana did not kidnap Tanya because she wouldn't leave the corpse as such after killing. Shreya calls Daya sir and informs that Suhaana's phone was traced at Satara.

In Satara, Ruthra, Viman and Suhaana are holding guns at each other's heads when CID arrives.( A small flashback in between shows the 3 of them killing Anushka and Abeer). Suhaana pleads to them to save their families and that they are ready to accept any punishment. They agree that they were members of the gang and the gang broke because Abeer had stolen 50 lakh from Jackie and tried to escape and on the orders of Jackie, the 3 had killed them. Daya sir says that it was someone else and not Jackie doing this commanding

In Anushka's house they learn from the nurse that Anushka can not feel anything and do things on her own. She says that she doesn't know who hired her but she is paid well. They search the house and Sachin finds a diary of an SJD college. ACP sir tells that the killer must somehow be associated with the college.

At a coffee shop, the news reporter reads that an innocent looking girl from Satara named Anushka had killed her father and was in hospital for she had collapsed during inquiry.

We see someone opening the ward and the person is Sameera (the hostess of the contest). She tells that Anushka is her sister and that she wanted to avenge the gang for such a state of her sister and so she decided to keep reminding the 3 of the symbol and also take revenge by harming their families. Daya sir says that they had deliberately put the news on the TV, knowing well that she'd come to see. Daya sir says that she would be punished along with the other 3 for taking the law in their hands.
