He sat their reminiscing their memories. He got a call from Swayam.

On the call...

Swayam : Hey Rey.

Rey : Hi bro, wassup?

Swayam : Nothing, just called to know how's Tia? I mean you two went out for 2 days. She might be tired right?

Rey : Yeah very tired. She slept now.

Swayam : Great dude.

Rey : So how's Sharon and our little champ Shaan?

Swayam : Yeah both are doing well. Rey till when are you going to manage all this alone? You need a partner. Taani is gone. We can't get her back now. Just stop being so stubborn and please marry someone.

Rey : Swayam how many times have I told you, I am not going to marry anyone. I can live with the support of Taani's memories.

Swayam : Tia needs a mother Rey. She is just Four years old. She needs a mother. You can't do everything for her. As she grows up, she will need a mother to take care of her.

Rey : She is happy with me and she doesn't require a step mother. She loves me and Taani, her mother. She does not require anyone if her Prince is with her.

Swayam : But Rey...

Rey : No Swayam, please don't. I'll stop talking to you as well. I stopped talking to my friends and parents because they wanted me to marry and I can't see anyone trying to take Taani's place, My Taani's place.

Swayam : She was so lucky to have you. Okay as you wish. If you need any help me and Sharon are always with you.

Tia had got up to drink water. She heard Rey's talks. She wanted to know about her mother. She never talked about Taani with Rey because she knew it hurts him. She was quite young but was mature just like Taani.

Rey called her and initiated the talk...

Rey : Tia baby what happen?

Tia : Nothing Prince. Just missing mom.

Rey : Taani is always with us. She would have loved you the most

Tia : Dad, what happened to her?

Rey : What did you say?

Tia : Dad.

Rey : Means you have accepted the fact and are fine with it baccha?

Tia : Yes Dad. After all I am mumma's baby.

Rey : yeah right.

Tia : What happened to her? You never told me till now. You always said I was small but now I am grown up, tell me naa Dad...

Rey : Okay fine, its time you know about Taani.

Flashback...

Taani was detected with lung cancer. She was pregnant. The doctor had told Rey that only the child could be saved. If they still try to save Taani, there are possibilities that both Taani as well as the baby will lose their life. There are chances only for the survival of the baby. Taani had to die in any situation because her cancer was spreading rapidly.

That was the time, Swayam and everybody said that the child should be saved. They all knew Taani would not survive but at least one life could be saved. They knew Rey will never remarry, so they thought he can live with Taani's memories and their symbol of love, their child.

Soon, they could hear cries from the operation theatre. The doctor informed them about a baby girl born. Rey was happy beyond zenith. The doctor told him, Taani was alive but she had less time. Rey took the baby in his hands and went to Taani's room.

Rey : Taani look, our symbol of love, our baby.

Taani : Rey, please give her in my hands.

Rey gave the baby to Taani. She caressed it and kissed on her forehead.

Taani : Rey, promise me, you will take care of her till you live.

Rey : Taani, she is our part, our baby. I will always give her the love of a father and a mother. She will always remember you but being happy and not sad.

Taani : I love you Rey.

Rey : I love you too Taani.

Taani : Its time for me to go. Take care of both my babies. You and Tia.

Rey : Tia is a nice name.

Taani : Take care Rey and Tia. I love you both.

Taani closed her eyes and she left the world. She left behind her love and her child. She was helpless. She was alive till now only to give birth to her child and to see her in Rey's arms. She wanted to die in peace. She wanted to see her happy small family before dying. I think that's the reason God let her live for this time because doctors had declared she won't live for more than a month but here she lived for six months. God had enough mercy on her.

Rey : Taani, please don't leave me alone. I'll die without you. Please. You are my soul. You are my heart. You are my breath. You are my heartbeat. You are my everything. I can't live without you. Taani You can't do this to me. How will I leave without you? How will we live without you? We will die Taani. How dare you leave your Rey? Just come back if you ever loved me. Taani. Taani...

She never came back. She left him forever. She left her Rey. She never wanted to. She had not been left with other option. She had to leave him. She was forced to leave her love.

Rey spoke his heart out but Taani was no more there to listen to him and his cries. Rey promised himself as well as Taani that he will not cry anymore because he has to live a life for Tia. He has to be for her now. She was his entire world.

Rey took care of her like a mother would and protected her from all the evils like a father did. He was perfect father.

Flashback ends...

Tia : Dad, you loved mom a lot right?

Rey : Yeah baby, more than anything in this world. I love her more than you because she gave me such a wonderful gift. If she wouldn't have been there, I would have never met you my princess.

Tia : I love you dad. I love you mom.

Rey : I love you Tia. I love you Taani.

They lived a beautiful life. They remembered Taani everyday but not crying or cribbing but smiling happily. They believed Taani was seeing them and will be sad to see them sad. After all they all loved each other the most.

In Tia's room...

Tia : I love you mom. You are the best mom anyone would get. I will make sure dad never becomes sad. I know you are always there for us.

Rey coming in the room...

Rey : Chalo Tia, its late now. Go to sleep. You have school tomorrow and I have to go to office.

They everyday would talk to Taani and they always felt her presence around them. They were still a happy family.

Rey always remembered her and loved her. Pain. Anguish. These are just a few of the profound emotions you may feel if you have lost a lover to death. Lovers are the most intimate of companions. They know just how to make you feel special and loved, and though they may leave behind many precious and heartwarming memories, their loss leaves a void that is difficult, if not impossible, to fill. They say time heals all wounds, but many doubt the truthfulness of that old adage when faced with the death of such a dear loved one.
