Rimjhim, Prem and Chotu burn Avinashs corpse. The brahman is doing the rites and Prem is lighting the wood and corpse. Rimjhim breaks down and cries alot. Even Chotu looks at Rimjhim sympathetically.

The karva chorth ceremony is happening at home, the lady-guests are all there. Bua asks Iravati where Rimjhim is..Iravati is lost for words and before she begins to say something, Rimjhim comes in. Rimjhim gives Iravati a sad look of affirmation and Iravati gets tears in her eyes. Bua asks Rimjhim where shes been and Rimjhim says she went Mandir. The ceremony gets underway and Rimjhim has that de-sensitised look of sadness on her face.

Prem stands there until the body is completely burnt to ashes. He feels sad and even has tears.

Its evening and Iravati and Rimjhim are there with their round netted things looking at the moon doing the karva chorth ritual. Iravati has Babuji to look at through it. Rimjhim sadly does the ritual and has afew flashbacks inbetweenm, remembering Avinash smiling at her through the netted thing. Kaveri cries in the background as she remembers Pratik. Then Rimjhim faints and everyone rushes to her.

Rimjhim is on the bed as she wakes, Babuji is on hand to give her a small sweet lecture telling her not to take so much tension about everything and also about Avinash. He tells Kaveri to take care of her. Kaveri gives her medicine.

Babuji goes outside and suddenly sobs. Bua comes along. He tells her that he doesnt know what Rimjhim has done wrong!..her husband isnt even here for her karva chorth. He also cries for Kaveri and Yashoda karva chorth rituals..as Pratiks dead and Rakesh is in jail. Bua cries too.

Rimjhim is fingering pictures of Megha and Avinash. Kaveri comes into the room and asks Rimjhim how shes doing. Rimjhim says shes fine. Kaveri gives her soup. Kaveri tells her that Babuji instructed her to look after Rimjhim. Then Kaveri apologizes to Rimjhim for not behaving well with her in the past. Rimjhim thinks nothing of it. Kaveri also tells her that she senses a sadness in her, like shes got internal conflict about something. Rimjhim dismisses it and changes the subject to Rakeshs situation. Kaveri says shes tried her best but if she tries anymore then the case will become complicated as Kaveri is a politician.

Prem calls up Rimjhim and tells her that he can scatter ashes if shes not upto it. She says shes suffered so much that she can take anything now. Prem says ok and puts down the phone. Then he looks at the sky and shouts to his deceased father D'souza saying ''Why do you have to take the good people away! Avinash was a nice man! A noble guy! why dont you take people like me!!''. Prem feels sad.

Prem and Rimjhim are at the beach as Prem scatters Avinashs ashes into the ocean.
