Just because you are a senior citizen, you automatically don't become a wise man. After watching Champak I can say that with conviction.
Yes, I watched the episode where Champak takes a decision to keep Khushi with them. So I am commenting only based on that episode.
This man who calls himself ' bujurg', did he even bother to ask Jetha whether he agrees with Daya and would like to keep Khushi with them? If they have to become parents to a child, it should be a decision of both father and mother. Here Champak calmly decided on his own. Arre it is a big decision. Does Jetha want this additional responsibility from his heart? It is not question of money but investment of time, care, some more precious years and great responsibility of raising another child. Champak, when you are head of the family, you may take decisions but it is also your duty to ask opinion of everyone in the household and then reach a decision.
This man who constantly preaches, calls other people as Bhindi master, Mehtus, Popatiya or something else to Popat(I forgot). Isn't that insulting? It is not that he does not know their names. What if his family was called Gadi ? Tapu will be up in arms then saying " mere dadaji ka apman karnewale ko nahi chodunga "
Daya is saying Khushi Gokuldham Society mein hi rahegi. I didn't see any other mahila offering to keep her with them. they were convincing her to find her mom. Fine, you love her, you can keep with you as your child. but then say she will stay with us. Don't take GD society's name.
