After reading all the praises ppl were showering here for MC-America I thought of watching few episodes.
Well I am dumbstruck.. Damn.. Well that is what you call a Reality show... Oh god, the level of the show there is so high.. I mean really its huggeee..
All the three judges, well I never saw them smiling rarely maybe. They are so dead strick, blunt, rude, straight to the point.. Call it whatever you want but that is some real judgement.. If they don't like it either they are not going to taste or if they taste it n dont like, well it is going into the trash.
I really wish some day they visit the show in future, maybe they can pass on some skills how to judge a dish.
All people out there if you have never seen the show pls atleast watch one episode. I am sure you will end up watching all.. :)
P.S- In MC-4 America Luca won the title n he came for previous seasons as well, I hope they dont do the same thing here as well and declare Neha as the winner.. :\

^ Exactly. You'll notice that it's quite the same with MC Australia. I only watched it this season, but I really felt like I was watching a proper reality show that I could relate to. The judges are straightforward, to the point, and call a spade a spade. There's no OTT drama, no emotional story, and what not.

Yes. There is no comparison, I guess all the Reality shows in India might actually suck when in comes to judgement except one maybe "Dare to dance". By far the most commendable show..

Dare 2 Dance was stellar! I also love Khatron Ke Khiladi. These 2 shows are yet untouched by OTTness, drama, and emotional stories. There are some funny skits in KKK, but they're fun to watch and I don't mind them especially given that it's usually just a minute or 2 in a 45 minute show.

I like MC Australia better than America...They concentrate more on the dishes and less drama...Even MCI was great first 2 seasons...The tasks were so good to watch..This season they have totally wasted the concept by using only north indian dishes that are known..And the contestants are not so great apart from Nikitha, vijay who tries things, Ashish to some extent...Whoever wins, this season is a total failure...I have lost hope they will let Nikita win...I cant tolerate Neha or Bhakthi win, but its heading there...

Watching current MC UK and I came here to share something i found very funny as comparison..
In MC UK:

Contestant: This dish is inspired by one my grandma taught me
Judge: How will your grandma feel that you have added these bits and bobs to her traditional dish?
C: Nothing.. She passed away years back
J: I am sorry..
C: **Laughs** She will be very happy if she knew ** and moves on

MC India
C: This dish is inspired by what my grandma taught me **nearly in tears**
J: How will she feel seeing you here and making these changes to her dish
C: She will be very happy.. ** Tears falling uncontrollably**
J: I am sorry.. I am sure she must be happy wherever she is **not sure whether this grandma is still alive or not
C: I am her favourite and every time I visit she makes sure she makes this dish **crying loudly by now but at least we know that said person is alive and kicking**

You cracked me up..
Being emotional is good thing from my pov. But that is not something to flaunt over. Get over it its a show that too you wont be getting any sympathy votes..

I don't know about MC America but MC UK is SO different! It's all about cooking and that's it, no space for drama or anything.
But MC India wasn't bad in previous seasons tbh. It's just this season that I feel cooking isn't given much attention as much as dialogue and drama.

@ Bold: I second that. I've watched both season 1 and season 3 and season 1 was all about cooking while season 3 had a little bit of drama especially from 2 or 3 of the contestants, but this season has been OTT at its best.
