It is Bauji and Dadi's 50th wedding anniversary. It is being celebrated at Simla House. Nitya (Amrita Singh) performs the rites and then the entire family gets busy preparing for grand bash in the evening. Nitya and others wonder if Nitya's son, Kkavya, who is studying in Switzerland, will be able to make it on time for the party. But Kkavya has decided to surprise his relatives. He reaches Simla and gets off at the old station at Rizvi Road. The place is deserted. As he looks for a cab he encounters a frail old lady and seeks direction. The taxi stand is deserted.
