hello everyone- very sorry for the late update- mixture of illness, feeling of why am i so stuck with taarey still and writers block- well here it is. hope its fine.

recap:taani hasnt told tauji about her admission etc., rey consoled her

FE continuation scene

"...dont be so scared of him taani..."

"main unse kam aur unki expectations se zyaada scared hoon rey" she replied with

a small smile,"ab jab bhai unke business join nahin karna chahthe wo mujhse wo

sab expect karthe hain...isiliye sab kuch ..."

"im sure youll do well in management...tum kitni acchi GS thi..."

She shrugged, "its not that rey...wo main isiliye thi kyunki wo career nahin tha ...ab im not sure ki i want to do that ... I ...I dont know why but main kisiki expectations ko satisfy nahin karsakthi...na aapki

na tauji ki aur bhai tho... Chodo...unko tho aadat hain mujse disappointed hone

ki " she said her voice sounding disappointed" and i guess hes right main wahin galthi ab phir..."

" i dont know about your galthi taani but i guess jo expectations hain...jo expect

karthe hain unka fault zyaada hain sweetheart because mostly its not what you

actually want out of your life...what you want is ...simpler stuff " and stopped

her heart leapt up as she looked at him her hands on his chest-his voice telling her he understood her obligation to tauji ...he understood she

wanted very simple things his calling her sweetheart involuntarily brought back

every good feeling they had ever had between them. she suddenly became

conscious he still had her face cupped in his hands, was standing close to her and

was stroking her cheeks softly, she looked up at him wondering what was she

doing? The look in his eyes was far from being friendly- he looked at her with his

urge to kiss her clearly written all over his face...and suddenly it reminded her of

anjalis words- wo tho kabhi friendship nahin nibhaayega

" rey..." she placed her hand on his on her cheeks and slowly pulled his hands

down from her cheeks his face fell as she left his hands and she moved back slightly

her own discomfort at becoming weak in front of him resurfacing.

It took a second for both of them to get their senses back to the present...and rey

mobile rang loud breaking the moment- Sonali- he didnt recieve it as it continued

to ring.He was in no frame of mind to let anything or anyone come inbetween him

and his conversation with taani.

Taani however by then had collected herself, wiped her eyes smiled slightly again looking at the mobile which was ringing again and said

" aapki meeting thi abhi ...i think you should go rey"

nodding ," Taani" he wanted to say so many things to her but could only say

" if you need any..."

She smiled a little more," aapne mujhe acche se training di hain rey independent

hone ki...im sure i can manage..." and then seeing that his face fell at her comment

" main taunt nahin maar rahin thi , sach bol rahin hoon"

The ringing persisted- Sharon now- taani glanced at it and smiling said," ab isko

ignore nahin karsakthe" rey smiled back at her and recieved it- WHERE THE HELL

R U? TUMHE PATA BHI HAIN KI YAHAAN KYA... Sharons scream went on and on

rey tried to stop her and then when he couldnt- he screamed back as taani eyebrows went up," SHARON I LL BE THERE IN A MIN" and cut the call before she

could say anything else muttering Siren

And looked at Taani and both started laughing lightening the tensed atmosphere

as rey said," isko sirf swayam handle karsaktha hain"

"agar wo handle karne degi tab na" she replied making rey again remember that

she didnt know about them- he suddenly felt guilty and bad that she didnt know

Taani stood up saying " chaliye" and as he got up his mobile rang again - sonali-

she looked at it and he said without recieving it," it was just a date really " with a

hint of teasing her.She smiled, shook her head and said," yeh shayad aapko

sonali se kehdena chahiye mujhe koi farak nahin padtha" in the same tone and

walked out without waiting for him to respond.

He stood still for a second wondering- sach mein koi farak nahin padtha ? And

then frowned - was he giving sonali wrong signals? then the mobile rang -

Swayam - Ok he better go, this drama/ dance fight must be getting worse and

ran out ready to face everything

The teams fight was getting worse- no one listening to anyone.

Reys place - late in the night-

SS with rey discussing what to do etc., etc., reys half joining and half in his own

taani world remembering the feel of her in his arms even though she did walk away

" firstly tum halfheartedly baat karrahe the ...aur i dont know rey- tum unko

support kyun..."

"sharon for the last time rey unko support nahin ...he was trying to find a middle

ground...we need an understanding on the leads..." and both of them went on

with finally sharon getting convinced and accepting to swayam that she had also

overreacted during the fight. Rey sat watching them with a stupid smile on his

face and then said out of the blue

" u know u guys should really tell taani about yourselves"

They stopped their discussion and turned to him , caught his stupid smile and

poor swayam hesitated - should he ask what was happening? He shud but did he

want to? No he didnt

But sharon her face smiling sat next to rey and with raised eyebrows said," bohot

fikar horahin hain taani ki suddenly"

"suddenly nahin my dear, hamesha ki tarah" swayam sat down on the other side,

" she ll be really really happy"

"rey..." he stopped rey turned to him ," rey..." rey raised his eyes," rey ..." rey

smiled.Sharon burst out laughing, rey joined her after a second and swayam

looked from one to the other and then said," REY..."

Rey his laugh reducing patted him on the shoulder and said," its fine swayam i got

it...but..." looking slightly serious," maybe i shouldnt interfere but...i think she

needs help with...with something and i think tumhe...you should ..." and stopped

Swayam met reys eyes and then turned to meet sharons eyes- realising and accepting

that she had been always right- rey wouldnt give up so easily on taani. Sharon

smiled at him happily and then hitting rey on the head said," ab yeh drama chodo

and tell me how we are going to..."

Rey got up and pulled both of them up from the sofa and marched them out of

the house saying," tomorrow...abhi ke liye get the hell oout of my house and

enjoy...tum log saath kyun ho?"

" but rey we hardly have time..."

"exactly sharon we hardly have time and we shouldnt waste it always on prof

fessional stuff..." his eyes suddenly went serious ," trust me , experience se bol

rahaan hoon. Personal baaton ke liye time nikaalna chahiye"

SS excahnged glances, looked at him and moved out but swayam turned back,

stopped to say something but then gave rey a hug - rey smiled understanding his

support and his thanks and then swayam walked out with sharon.

Rey turned back grinning- seeing them together aways made him feel nice and

todays talk with taani had somehow made him feel more than usually nice -

wo fight bhi itna affect nahin karrahaan hain mujhe ...maybe because he had

held her so close and she had responded though she had backed off as soon as

he realised... maybe... just maybe he had a chance...shit , he missed her so

much...picking his mobile...call karoon? Ya ? Nahin nahin rey., she wont like it...

but mujhe poochna bhi hain ki usne uncle se baat ki ya nahin...msg karletha

hoon...after all friendship nibhaani hain! And grinned

Taani s place- shes sitting on her bed pillow on her lap and talking to herself like

the original bubble taani ( i love her )

what was she doing? Main apne hi decision pe strong nahin rahoongi tho kaise

chalega and had a glimpse mentally of his expressions as he held her, she felt her

cheeks burn and rubbed both her cheeks ....unse baat hi nahin karni chahiye...

hey krishnaji kyun baar baar har mod pe, har problem ke liye wo dikhaayi dethe

hain mujhe ...mujhe na rey se door rakho aap bas in her childish stubborn tone

And then her mobile beeped his msg- she saw the name and then sighed looking

up said in a complaining tone door rakhne keliye request ki thi , ab kaunsi bhaasha

mein request bhejhoo? kya problems kam hain life mein, wo sab tho solve nahin

karthe and shaking her head read the msg asking her if she had spoken to her

tauji

She frowned no

Ok...when r u telling him

Jab time sahin hoga tab batadoongi

Rey suddenly frowned

but why havent you told him taani? Tumhe batana chahiye

Taani frowned more

Rey aap kyun mujhe force karrahe ho? Mujhe jab batana hoga main batdoongi

Rey caught the finality in the msg and didnt respond, taani s irritation at his

interference reduced as he didnt reply and she msgd again

i need a little time , main batadoongi unhe

No replyshe typed again i ll manage rey really and thanks for everything.

He smiled friendship mein no thank you no sorry- kisine kahaan tha aur yeh tho

precious friendship hain meri zindagi ka

She shook her head - he was such a charmer- smiled and she was falling for it all

over again - looked up at krishnaji accusingly - mobile beeped

She felt what the msg tried saying and felt a blush rise up her cheeks

GN rey and switched the mobile off before he could send anymore disturbing

msgs to her...threw the mobile aside and fell face down on the pillow in her lap

Rey on the other end kissed his mobile and said love you taani

How he wished he could keep meeting her daily!! And then suddenly jumped up-

i know !!!! I know what to do

VP sirs cabin- VP sir with rey

Frowning VP sir," ok listen rey, let me get this clear- u think someone other than

the two teams should act as a co ordinator between the teams " rey nodded

" and i guess you havent been attending the meetings then because the GS and

CS - new ppl are already incharge of that"

Rey for a second looked lost but then," yes sir but ...then wo dono new hain and

it hasnt worked well...they havent been able to..." catching VP sirs frown," i mean

sir , wo dono juniors hain and yeh do teams senior..."

" maybe but i think the new GS s really very good and he needs time bas..."

"definitely sir but he has so much to do and ..."

"rey what do you want?" bluntly

Rey stopped, shook his head trying to act innocent and as VP sir looked at him

frowning a little but ready to listen pulled up all his courage and said,

" sir i think taani will be able to manage both the teams- matlab she knows each

one of us...wo GS bhi rehchuki hain and everyone knows her and likes her ...

atleast most of the members ..."

VP sir burst out laughing, rey stopped in embarrassment and waited for sir to

stop laughing...he didnt

" im sure teams ko bhi taani ki baat sunne mein koi problem ..."

"ok now...enough..." and stopping his laughter," im very sure taani ll handle it

but she has her own issues presently- she s busy by herself "

" wo aapko mana nahin..." rey fidgeted and VP sir looking at reys face that fell immediately

" i ll ask her rey ...if she refuses i wont force her" VP sir smiling as his face

brightened again

Rey was about to say a big thanks when he held up his hand and said a little

seriously," but i dont want to any drama again" reys face looking guilty- he met

Sirs eyes and replied in a strong voice," no sir and ...thanks"

Sir smiled and nodded , rey walked out- happy and hopeful and determined not

to make any mistake again- he was going to spend time with her again!

Next Day- in canteen-both the teams standing on either side with taani in the middle

Throwing daggers at eachother and sonali at Taani. Taani looking like that was

the last place she wanted to be in - hey krishnaji yeh kahaan phasa diya aapne,

meri khudh ki parishaani kya kam thi ki ab in logon ki parishaani ko sar pe utaao

but as the teams started throwing insults at each other , she looked from one

team to another , saw rey staring at her with a small encouraging smile and

losing her cool suddenly screamed

STOP IT - NOW - AAP and YOU - VICKY SHARON BH...SHARON ...ABCD...XYZ etc., etc.,

And as all of them slowly reduced their talking said taking deep breath- i want two

minutes please...sharon bhabhi...PQRS etc., please ...firstly mujhe koi shouk

nahin hain in useless baaton mein padne ka- ( sonali frowned and galnced at rey)

life mein aur bhi important baatein hain other than handling overgrown kids but...

her voice sharp and sarcastic

Humein bhi....bharat hit back

Bharat ...please ...the strength in her tone stopped him...but VP sir s has asked

me to be coordinator is event ke liye and i want to make sure that this goes on

well NOT... NOT because i care about any of you ya aapki drama ya phir aapki

dance( sarcastic tonedance team gave her bad looks rey raised his eyebrows)

Only for Sir...for the college kyunki Sir ne hamareliye bohot kuch risk kiya hain

and i think he deserves that respect

Like we dont respect..

Dikhtha nahin hain simmi...all that anyone can see is bad example juniors ke liye her voice cut across simmi s. That shut them up for a second

Im sure individually aap sab is baat se agree karthe honge but as a group yeh

accept nahin karoge ki yeh fights sab immaturish hain...ki sabko apni field mein

experiment karne ki opportunity aasaani se nahin milthi and the loss is yours and

yours and each one of yours...NDC ki baad bhi aapki team ke liye offers is almost

same ( dance team exchanged glances) aur aapki tho offers hain hi nahin...( drama team excahnged glances frowning ) andim sure aap mein se koi bhi bewakoof nahin hain

everyone was quiet for a second..they all knew she was right but ...

I guess you have a point Taani but these guys...sharon

Sharon bh...lets please not think of others mistakes...shayad humein khudh ki

faayde ke baare mein zyaada sochna chahiye for now.

Silence as all of them thought...of how to counterattack her but she sensing them

melting continued- if we have a plan ready by two days, hum VP sir se RH ko

waapas lesakthe hain and we can think hum is event ko as a commercial event

kaise promote karsakthe hain

Commercially? As in selling tickets? Thats new...its too much...little time...new

idea hain sabkeliye...humein bhi paisa milega kya? Will college allow?

All of them started talking amongst themselves , taani stood quietly for some

minutes letting them talk about it and then added, and i thought we could make

proper online promotional video of the musical - they all brightened visibly at

the idea- provided we actually have a musical and not just yeh fighting ka noise

They all caught the sarcasm in her words as she uttered them and stopped their talking

Taani humein koi problem nahin hain but your friends... unse baat karna...

someone in drama team spoke up

Aapko unse baat karne ki zaroorat hi nahin hain bas kaam karna hain saath mein..

atleast lets start off on a neutral ground...try tho karo for two days

Both the teams stared at each other and then rey put his hand out in the middle ...

slowly both the teams put their hands on it one by one and an uneasy truce was

made with sonali making faces still...rey looked at taani and she put her hand on

the top smiling at him and all of them cheered feeling enthusiatic

Swayam gave taani a hug muttering thanks as all of them hugged their respective

teams and sonali happily hugged rey and rey looked proudly at taani

So now what? Someone asked

And taani sat on one of the stools and taking out her notepad said, firstly kisiko

kisise koi bhi problem hain, ya koi bhi ideas hain musical ke liye dono ek paper

mein likhkhe dedo and kyunki main neutral hoon i ll try to handle ...

But taani tum neutral kahaan ho? Tumhaara bhai us team mein hain.and your...

some girl from the drama team commented, stopped looked at rey and then at

taani.

Rey gave taani a small glance with an immediate frown on his face , swayam

placed a hand on taani s shoulder but she without looking at them , looked at the

girl, her smile intact and said- her voice expressionless continued," well thats your

problem ki you cant trust me but VP sir ko lagtha hain ki main handle karsakthi

hoon and i hope aap unko trust karsakhoge...lets get back to making up for the

lost three weeks ..."

and ignoring everyperson looking at her including swayams

i dont know whether to protect you or to be proud of you look...of reys i so so

love you look ...of sharons way to go girl look... she started something...that

girl moved and sat next to her and peeped into what taani was noting down...

everyone followed her

Rey did a mental thumbs up and joined them grin in place and eyes bright ,

his change in expression noticed only by swayam
