Ummm.. res?
Unresed my previous comment here.

*edit*

I just ducked. Like, fell-on-the-floor-face-down ducked. Because I am SURE you must have chucked the toaster at me (did you put the bread in , btw? I'm feeling slightly peckish)

Okay okay.. Getting back to the point. I am SO SORRY! I resed. And forgot. More like, remembered and recollected but couldn't get to the point of actually updating my comment.. Sorry?

(Okay, I love Chris Evans. Sue me!)

Anyway.. this comment is going to be a long one, so sit back and grab a plate of piping hot pakoras (but do not drop any on the screen, warna meri toh band baja dogi tumm!)

Victor's comment to Arnav in the beginning.. how his mom tis worried about Arnav becasue of the dark circles? LOL. I wanted to try and edit a pic of (our very own) Mr. Barun ji but I made a bad job of it, so just imagine I've put one up here:

.. and you HAVE to agree, he looks drool-worthy even with the dark circles, nahi?

And Khushi actually counted the mosquitoes in her room. Wow!

You put in a reference to Piku wayyy before the movie released!!! (Okay, one line, which I think i am reading into.. but this one: "Victor had cracked about the connection between cold tea and restricted bowel movements")

The whole conversation going from Victor's babies (okay, not HIS) to Arnav's hot babies, to Khushi's cute babies, to Payal's and Akash's baby-discussion is so real.. that's actually how weirdly friends jump topics.. loved that touch!!

On a side note, I am going to use the band-aid trick from now on.

Oookay.. coming back to the valley.. the description of the place was really enticing.. have you actually seen it first hand? And the book by Frank Smythe? Just curious..

Loved your detailing of the situation, what with the leeches (both literal and figurative, somehow 😉) and the rain, and MAGGI! (Shh.. its bad for health, but I miss it!) I could picturise them eating hot noodles and their makeshift paratha-frankies while staring into a fog/mist filled valley that had flowers of all colors as far as one's eyes could see!

"Even pseudo-intellectual people look pretty during these music festivals" ===> HAHAHAHAHAHA
So true!!

(although I do admit I wish I could look that way..)

I liked the conversation between Sumit and Arnav, although I am yet to meet a guy so comfortable and confident in his own self that he is friendly with his wife's ex. I wish there really were such guys, because damn! Girl. You write them pretty hot as they come!

Arnav's questions, his doubts his fears about Khushi.. they make him so much more real, don't they? He's not just a cool dude (or bro) but he is also concerned for his friend's state of mind.. he wants to know about Khushi's past and her present feelings (maybe), but he would rather have her be forthcoming than satisfy his own curiosity and hurt her in the process.
All in all, a good part A. Part B's review follows...

Comment for Part B:
I LOVE PANEER TIKKA!
Sorry for the all-caps, but.. I LOVE PANEER TIKKA! Specially with a mint sauce and capsicum and grilled tomatoes side of crunchy pickled cabbage and beetroot and onion rings.. yummm...

I totally get the faux-bonfire part. I have experienced sitting around one such small fire and staring at it, trying to imagine it was actually huge and that there was a cute guy with a guitar and.. sigh.. well, imaginations. Run away.

Anyway.. so your story.. just how long do I think Arnav will hold out in the face of Khushi's cute-as-a-button charms? A guy who is fida on a girl's loud laughter- boy, he is a goner. A guy who tells me that he is fond of my loud laughter- I will kiss him then and there. Of course, after I marry him (tongue-in-cheek, wink wink!).

Arnav is highly curious about how Khushi had felt for him, if she had. And in his desperation, he actually turns to the one girl he used to dislike, even! I remember his reaction to Jyotsana in the first few chapters, where he would be uncomfortable around her, to say the least.. but to see him and her come so long ahead in their friendship- its so heartening!

The way the conversation flowed naturally between Arnav and Khushi in the drizzle.. the way they could air their own past questions and misgivings.. wow! It felt real. I'll be very honest Ana, I envy the relationships and friendships you've portrayed here.. I wish I could BE such a friend, and obviously, have such friends..

Anyway, the behaviour Khushi's husband showed before they were married had already raised a lot of flags, and to know of the reality of her marriage broke my heart for her. Its always difficult to love someone who doesn't love you back the same way, but its even worse to know you loved the wrong person, or at least the wrong 'version' of them. Which is why I can understand her in-decision of sticking to the marriage for so long while on the other hand she was kicking her boss's butt like a good ol' self-respecting woman. Won't hold it against Khushi, I promise!

Arnav jumping to her defense, understanding her side of the story- well, that is one more heart-warming thing amongst the rest of the story..

I actually Googled Meconopsis, its a beautiful flower, with such a lively shade of blue! I am curious to know, though.. why did you choose to name that particular one? A favorite of yours, perhaps?

Arnav looking at home amongst the flowers? Pfft. Khushi, darling, love has given you Meconopsis-tinted glasses!!

And even though I know this ain't really happening, I couldn't help but post this pic!

Walk in the rain Walk in the rain Walk in the rain Walk in the rain!!!

YAY!!

Loved this part, too.. can't wait to finish the next one and post my comment for it!!! *MWAH*

Part 5A:

Wow, so the story is picking up speed. I guess Khushi still needs to talk about her divorce to the others if even. But I hope that the Arnav Khushi story gets going during this trip of theirs...
