Mumbai, Mar 31: Diya Aur Baati Hum has taken seven years of generation leap amidst high drama. Post leap Sooraj will be shown taking care of his child all alone as Sandhya is posted out of Pushkar. But after few episodes Sandhya will come back to Pushkar and here a new journey will begin as a mother. Sandhya son's Ved will behave like a spoiled brat as Bhabho and Sooraj pampers him a lot. Sandhya will find it very difficult to digest that Ved is not a well behaved kid. She will then turn into a strict mother and will do everything possible to bring back Ved on track. At the same time Sandhya's struggle to find his lost son will continue.
Taking about the experience post leap Deepika aka Sandhya say "Initially I didn't want to play mother but the story demanded it. But now I am ok as I am getting to play something else apart from a wife and IPS officer. Our set is full of activity these days. We do not get bored at at all But playing mother of a grown up kid on-screen is very different altogether. You have bring that mother's emotions out and also deal with the kid at the same time. Our kids are growing but we are not(laughs)."
