Think before using the word 'Fact'

Have you heard the following statement in day to day communication

"It's a well know fact the women are more sentimental then men" Not necessarily...

"It's a fact that parents are responsible of any action of chicldren untill they are adults" Not necessarily...

"Its fact that democratically elected Govt. is the best and the right choice for country's future development" Not necessarily...

"Its a fact that the world is selfish" hmmm this one make me think still not true for all..... etc... compare these facts by

"The Himalayas is the world's highest mountain range comprising all top ten of the world's highest peaks. In fact, the Himalayas includes 14 peaks more than 8,000 meters high and some 200 more than 6000 meters. "

well now this is some thing that can be classified as a fact. No? it's undisputeable other previous examples can be challenged.

According to me we should reconsider usage of the word "fact" and consider it more from soemthing that is unargueable, what do you say?

1. Facts can be argueable? Y? any reasoning behind it.

2. Whats your defination of the world "facts" ?

facts have many faces, it depends on which side you are to argue about it 😉

Fact face #1- There were 44 people dead in Hyderabad after bomb blasts😡

Fact face #2- If this continues foreign investors will not invest into AP and AP govt will miss out on under the table revenue😉

Fact face #3- If AP govt will not do anything about it, fearing a minority backlash😭

Fact face #4 - AP public is mad at the AP govt for letting this continue

Fact face #5- AP public has a good option in CB Naidu

Fact face #6 - This Govt will get voted back in again😆

Fact face #7- There will be more such attacks in Hyderabad😳

Hey am sad and frustrated as anyone would be, mann toh karta hai khud bandook haath mey ley lu, but how will it help, also who is there for family. Politically not the right thing to do😉

Apart from Fact Face#1, other faces are not a fact but most obvious possibilities should not be termed as facts without objective relativity.

Raj your examples above are assumptions made by most on human nature and psyche. when represented as facts they become easier to be accepted as de facto and aid us in judging or justifying human behaviour.

Disagreed there are facts that are undisputeable, like earth revolves at the axis of X metrixs or honda civic give x mpg on highway, no one can challenge. SO there are facts.. but other things mislead bby saying facts are just assumptions or something most observed not necessarily facts.

See that's why I gave the 'holocaust' example...And also about the earth revolving etc, there are still some people who don't believe that and talk to them and they will prove it to you...

Everything depends on view point and from which angle we are looking at it..
