BCT revealtion track in Malayalam version-please watch

I would request members to watch last 3 epi of Parasparam in hotstar. I will provide the translation of that track here, but would prefer you watch it to know Deepthi's pain, her subdued anger and her snub. The body language of an IPS officer and the pain of the DIL who knows the family has trusted an outsider over and above her the script, direction and the performance of the actress Gayatri Arun was remarkable. Even I cried when she hugs that BCT and remembers the effort she put to get it.

So this is how the track goes. Subhash ( Mohit's equivalent) tells that she got BCT because of Kavitha , when she questions about BP reopening through Kavitha. She asks her MIL why did she do that. Her MIL says she did everything as a mother and snubs her telling IPS was her dream she didn't wanted a IPS DIL. Deepthi says she won BCT on her merit and her MIL asserts she got it because of Kavitha. Deepthi doesn't say anything and goes upstairs( Nothing different here from Hindi)

That night she sits in the table hugging BCT, remembering everything she did, her hardwork to win BCT. Sooraj wakes up and sees her. He says both of know she got BCT by merit She tells now everyone believes she got it through recommendation and says let it be like that. She says she knows now in her MILs eyes Kavitha is above her and she hopes for atleast Sooraj it is not like that. She goes to the balcony, Sooraj stares.

She doesn't tell anything to the family, but she calls her superior enquiries about BCT and her superior tells everything including Kavitha telling her not to give BCT to Deepthi. Deepthi meets Kavitha in a restaurant. Kavitha boasts Deepthi got BCT because of her. Deepthi tells she has known the truth and she can tell her MIL now. But she will wait. She will only expose Kavitha when she get all the proofs and she says she will surely expose Kavitha.( It was a remarkable scene. Instead of Sandhya talking parivaar nonsense, instead of Kavitha challenging, the leading lady the IPS officer going and challenging the anatagonist as it should be)

And when Deepthi comes home , Smriti ( Emily's equivalent) tells her no one is coming to parlour as they believe she is still using expired products. Deepthi says if they had gone the right way people would have trusted them. Now people also know how parlour got opened. Her MIL says Deepthi can help Smriti. Deepthi says since Kavitha helped opening the parlour, she will have some method to lure customers also to the parlour. She gaves a stern look to the stunned family members and goes up( This scene was a beauty, snub hitting where it matters, her MIL knowing yes her DIL is hurt and hurt deeply too. Of course I didn't anything happening to the peace of the family when she did that snub, infact there was a moment of retrospection)

This was what I expected in DABH also. No open rebellion. But a realization to Bhabo that what she did was wrong, with the script bringing out the anguish of Sandhya well.

especially the couple's convo at night, and deepthi challenging kavitha , and replying back to family members..

but in DABH they always skip the convo btw couple whr it is needed , otherwise they will talk abt family, Maa , blah blah ..

Any person with self respect will try to prove they are correct. And I liked Deepthi's way of dealing also. Without confronting she is taking steps to expose Kavitha so that truth comes out and everyone knows it.

Same thing we wanted in Sandhya. Instead they showed her confronting Kavitha for all the wrong things and we ended up supporting Kavitha

Incidently, I have been watching important episodes of parasparam since the last couple of days (stopped watching DABH long time back). I think the team have done a very good job. In the beginning episodes itself, I could see sensible changes in the plot and characters of suraj, bb and deepthi. Unfortunately, although I know Tamil, I could not catch all the dialogues and must have missed some essential points.

I also watched the latest three episodes. The hurt and anger at what her MIL has done was written all over Deepthi's face. No bootlicking. The way she was hugging her BCT showed her passion for her IPS career and that it was so important for her. And the reply she gives to her family members on how to bring customers back to BP? My word! Was I watching an Indian serial? Hats off to the parasparam team. 👏

From what I understood, I liked the fact that Sooraj doesnt pressurize Deepthi to open the BP (correct me if I am wrong) and that (apart from BCT deal) bb character is shown to be basically honest and thats why Deepthi respects her. Difficult to understand this in DABH.

Also, the FL in parasparam is better, while the ML is better in DABH.

MIL here is more shown as traditional than hypocrite. I mean her rules are same for children and DIL comes out very clearly. She advises her daughter on how to behave with her in laws and she shares her worries with her husband on her daughter's behavior. She muses whether she went wrong as far as her daughter's upbringing for her to do thing such as saree hiding. So there is retrospection in the lady. That's why I can connect more to Padmavati-Deepthi because Deepthi understands the traditional bend and in her own way makes Padmavati see the light. And Padmavati shows change in her attitude towards Deepthi. We do see a genuine care and fear in Padmavati for her DIL when she does night duty and all.
