Well, frankly speaking, I am a LakhAm shipper...yes I still am, even after the misplaced anger he unleashes on Poonam...because i find that there is a lot of possibility and shades to explore with their relationship, which I don't see in Priyom and Poonam...Anyway, getting back to my analysis..
Lakhan~Poonam
Their relationship is much like Poonam's friend defines, "Kaisa ajeeb rishta hai...Ek kuch puchta nahi, aur doosri kuch bolti nahi"
They are bound together by an obligation, a relation fixed by the family superiors. Lakhan, being a Thakur imposes an authority over Poonam, fully aware that she belongs to him. He believes it firmly, that she will be his wife and treats her that way as well. Poonam on the other hand fears him and does not have the courage to speak her mind and heart before him as he will react first and act later.
Lakhan is just the definition of raw brute force. His father is the calm and composed type, and he is his complete opposite...in short, 'bailbudhi'. He does not know how to talk to a girl, how to woo a girl and how to treat her. Softness and grace are just something he has never heard off.
He is also emotionally challenged, as he cannot or does not express his emotions...the only emotion that we know off till now is anger, the other ones are something yet to come. There are also some qualities in him. He is possessive, fiercely protective and extremely loyal to Poonam, which too he does not know how to properly express and sends the wrong message across to Poonam, as she shrugs away from him in fear.
But his fault is also, that he does not think what really Poonam wants, what she feels. He treats her with respect before all, and yet mistreats her , venting out his personal frustration, as he cannot let it out before those who are the reason for his anguish, which is completely wrong. But also on the flip side, I have never seen him venting out his problems before anyone, not even Priyom, and just lets it out before Poonam, by punishing her, because he feels an 'apnapan' and 'haq' over her...which can change into something more deep, when he vents out his issues and she consoles him
Poonam, is very silent and timid, and does not voice out her point of view, firstly because she is 'wafadar' ki beti, in a sense, and feels obligated to the Thakur family, which shows how wilfully she accepts everything and says nothing. Poonam needs to really speak up, voice out her anguish, her pain, and I think this next incident with Lakhan should be the necessary trigger, to make Lakhan understand that she is not his personal punching bag...
Priyom~Poonam
Priyom and Poonam are besties. They laugh with each other, fight with each other and care for each other. Priyom is always aware of Poonam's needs and desires and does know how to make the concerned person aware of it as well.
Poonam is equally fond of him, and desires that her husband understands her just the way Priyom understands her feelings. That is why she is pulled towards him, as he is the kind of guy she would like to be with...Priyom is equally possessive about Poonam, as far as his friendship with her is concerned, as he would not like that equation to change in any way, even if she gets married..
Poonam is quite fond of Priyom, but she is equally faithful to Lakhan, but the problem is Lakhan's demeanour makes him far less approachable than Priyom, for instance, when she told him about Bindia's convo...he not just switched gears, but switched off his senses as well, because, anger is the only thing working within Lakhan.
One more thing about Priyom is he is a sound man, and respects woman, but does that make him reliable as well. He is a loyal friend to both Lakhan and Poonam, but can he be a loyal lover to Poonam?? as he shuns commitment.
If Priyom has loyalty and reliability issues, then Lakhan has communication and emotional issues.
At present the equation is simple. Poonam and Priyom are besties, Lakhan is in love with Poonam, Poonam has accepetd Lakhan as her future, but fears him and both do not communicate at all. The problem will begin when both Lakhan and Priyom will fear losing the person they cherish, Poonam.
Priyom will fear losing his bestie, and might believe that he is in love with Poonam, and Poonam, if she does speak up about what she feels to Lakhan and tells him that she does not love him, then to bailbuddhi seengh marega, and he will fear losing someone he so much loves to the point of hurting her...
Then it will turn into a stiff competition for the 'joru' between two brothers. Rambling for a long time, in ending I would say, that if Priyom and Poonam fall in love, it will be all happy and merry and done, but with Poonam and Lakhan, there are still parts of their characters which have not been explored yet,so would love to see them grow as individuals and a couple. Right now, Priyom looks like the hero, and Lakham is 'grey', but you don't know, when things can just change...
