Ruhi was looking pretty in a pink frock, with thin-straps...she was all set for the shoot...
"My name is ruhi bhalla...I am six years old...ab soft soft baal...Littlecare se..." (lines for the ad, really idiotic they sounded btw)
It wasn't perfect the first time around, she repeated the same sentence...unable to say the lines in the desired way, she got yelled at by the director, who blamed the casting department for this mess...
Raman arrived on the set and yelled at him... "bacchi se baat karne kay eh tareeka hota hai kya?"
"Ey...kaun hai tu?" the director yelled at him
"Baap hun main iska...yeh meri beti hai...ab Ruhi yeh ad mein kaam nahin karegi" Raman baras pada uspe...
"bacchon ki itni fikar hai naa toh ghar mein bithao use...modelling kyun karate ho?"
Ruhi recalls what Shagun had said about Raman's job being in danger, if she didn't cooperate...and insists she will work in the ad ... "please uncle, main karungi...main darungi nai...main bahut acche se perform karungi"
The next time she performed...she was more enthusiastic, more lively...with perfect hand gestures, perfect expressions...everybody around her cheered...
In the meanwhile, Mihir and Ishita, who have rushed to the location, are scouting each nook and corner looking for Ruhi...they eventually drop by on the set...
After the shot was taken, Raman turned back to see Ishita there, says "Tum yahan?"
"Sawaal toh mujhe aapse poochna chahiye naa?"
"Koi toh khaas wajah hogi jiske liye aapne mujhe bataya nai ki aap Ashok Khanna ki company mein kaam karte hain" And believe me, when I say that was THE only line she said with tennis-ball like eyes and gritted-teeth-expression (that doesn't suit her AT ALL btw) that seemed something close to being ANGRY and displeased...
Once outside, Raman and Ishita have the dreaded' confrontation...WHAT DREADED MAA! SO THANDA, IT WAS...IT SOUNDED LIKE ISHITA HAD SAT A 15 YR OLD DOWN AND EXPLAINED TO HIM WHY HE SHOULDN'T WATCH TOO MUCH TV, COZ EXAMS ARE JUST ROUND THE CORNER... I was mighty pissed watching that scene...
" Har baar sorry kehne se sab theek ho jayega kya Raman? Aapko iss rishte ki zara bhi kadar nahin hai"
"Kya karta yaar! Malhotra ne mujhe block kar diya tha..kahin naukri nai mil rahi thi...mujhe laga tumhen bataunnga toh tum mana kar dogi"
"Aap khud hi tay kar lo naa ki main kaise react karungi...mujhe react karne doge hi nai"
"Aapne mujhse sacchai chhupai...aapke isi habit ki wajah se Ruhi humse door ho gayi hai...
"YOU NEED TO GET HOLD OF IT RAMAN...THIS IS NOT DONE"
And Raman just kaan-pakdoed and said SORRY' and that's it??? NO SPARK...NO ANGER...NO RIGHTEOUS ANGER, IN FACT...ITS LIKE RAMAN HAD TOO MANY ICE-CREAMS AND ISHITA ASKED HIM TO GET HOLD OF HIS ICE-CREAM EATING HABIT OR SOMETHING...š”
Wahan Shagun, who was watching this conversation from afar, was busy plotting and planning, "Isi Ruhi ne tum dono ko milaya naa? Ab yehi Ruhi tum dono ko door kar degi"
Toshi asked Rinki how her life's going... "Ghar...padhai...din kat jaate hain...kabhi kabhi toh Mihir bhi meri madad kar dete hain"
She gave some gyaan to Rinki, that now that she's married, she has to think beyond studies as well...thinking about bacche and family et al
"Mihir tujhse pyaar toh karta hai naa?" Rinki tried to evade the question, and escaped, since Mihir called at that very moment...
Mihir called Rinki ... they spoke for a while... "Mujhe tujhse ek zaroori baat karni hai...main soch raha tha ki UPSC bhavan ke paas chalen? Wahan ki chaat muje bahut pasand hai...Mihika ko bhi le chalen? Use bhi accha lagega... Tu please Mihika ko mana le naa...kyunki uska bahar jaana bahut zaroori hai"
Rinki OBVIOUSLY couldn't tell Mihir she was feeling insecure and neglected and bad and jealous and all those things...but I do NOT understand...WHY is Mihir behaving so weirdly? Why is ALL his focus and energy directed at Mihika?? I mean, he wants to go have chaat, not because he wanted to take Rinki out on a cute lil date or something, but because he wants to cheer up Mihika...ab kab tak sirf Mihika ke liye karega?? And why can't SHE understand Rinki might be feeling bad about the same??? khair, who kya sochegi...uski haalat sochne layak hai nahin...but Im not liking the way MiMi closeness is developing day by day...
Ashok has come on set...starts screaming and asking about the production people... "I do not want UNWANTED people here' he ordered around, hinting at Ishita
"Mere husband ke office ki shoot chal rahi hain yahan...aur MERI beti modelling kar rahi hai...toh tum apna rob kahin aur dikhao?" And then, she launched into a mini-speech, trying to scare him with dire consequences using laws in support of child artists, if he didn't behave himself...Raman threatened him with the same, as well as making everybody around known how and where he got beaten up...Ashok remains mum and walks away, huffily...
Ab yeh kya natak hai? Ashok ko dhamkane ka yeh tareeka? I cannot take the BLATANT manner in which the show uses diff laws for the SAKE of using them...I mean, Ashok is OUT ON BAIL...And why aren't the Bhallas and Iyers taking it up? Pursuing the matter? Who dikhane ke liye police station gaye the bas?
Ruhi was in the makeup room... Ishita went to see her...she looked surprised... and FINALLY, naaraaz hi sahi, apne dil ki baat kahi "Dekha Ishima...aapne mujhe akela chhod diya naa...aaj maine school miss kar diya...aaj school mein elocution competition tha, maine WHO bhi miss kar diya...kisi ko yaad nahin tha ki mujhe school chhodke aayen" "Main jaanti hun...aap aur Papa sirf Adi bhaiyya se pyaar karte ho, isliye toh mujhe exchange kiya"
Ruhi stood there crying...hugging the photo frame she picked up last time she was home... SAD ...MISERABLE...Cant see her cry like that ... I was so touched and so riled up, seeing her speak her heart out..she really IS Pained...
Ishita tried to take Roo in her arms and make her understand it isn't the case, but Shagun entered right on cue, asking her to go get ready for her shots...interrupting a moment which had the potential to heal the wounds the sordid drama has inflicted on us all these days...
"Tumne Ruhi ke saath kya kiya? She deserves to be free...Tum apni luxuries ke liye apni bacchi ka istemaal kar rahi ho? Tum uski sagi maa ho...can't you see? Use nai pasand hai yeh sab...use school jana, friends ke saath rehna accha lagta hai..." she tried to make Shagun see some sense
"Tum apna hak jatana jaanti ho ...par apni beti ki taraf apni zimmedariyan sambhalna nai"
"Yeh jo teen din ka natak hai, ise jaldi khatam karo...Ruhi school JAYEGI" Ishita warned Shagun and left the set... As usual, Shagun will try to create one prob after the other...Ishita ke bhashan ka uspe koi asar nai hoga...prolly if she gets back with the cheapo Ashok, then maybe she'll consider letting Roo breathe freely..
Raman is back home...to an Ishita, who's weary and tired...and not in a good mood...unresponsive to his talks.. For the life of me, I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND how Ishita can be so NORMAL about it all...I mean, Raman literally hid such a big thing from her and their daughter fell in this mess...Im not saying Ishu is a superwoman who can solve any prob on the face of this earth, but I'm sure she'd have done EVERYTHING possible to prevent Roo from featuring in the ad itself...
He starts playing something on the tab... and hears Roo's voice echoing in the room...
"Meri Mamma world ki best Mamma hai...unka naam Ishita Bhalla hai..." Ruhi said a lot of lovely stuff about her Ishima... "Jab who mere paas rehti hain, toh mujhe lagta hai sab theek hai, par jab who chali jaati hain, main bahut akela feel karti hun..." and ends it with "I love you Ishima"
Ishita is overwhelmed seeing the entire video...she is going mad with happiness... she asked Raman yeh kab ka hai'
Apparently, the director asked Roo to say something on the spot (in the show they're calling it an ESSAY, but dammit, essay is something you WRITE, what you speak on the spot is called elocution)...anyway, Ruhi spoke about Iishita...and Raman, who was there the whole time, recorded the same and sent it to her teacher...so Ruhi did get to take part in the elocution after all...
"Sabse zyada pareshan karte ho...aur...sabse zyada khushi bhi dete ho" Ishita sounds grateful...and overjoyed...
Ishita replays the video and watches it again and again... "She loves me" This was the best part of the whole episode...it sounded like ISHITA just got a back a mail,replied in the same vein as she had written it...and was overjoyed to be loved back
So the routine started... Ishita cooks for Roo, packs it in a lunch box, Raman takes it for her...day 2 and 3 pass by in the same manner...
Amma is on a mission to normalize a wounded, tormented Mihika...and that includes an over-enthusiastic Mihir having coffee sessions with his ex-gf...and Rinki, silently looking on ... Yeh kya hai yaar? I understand they ALL want Mihika to be alright soon, but does that involve hurting Rinki and her sentiments? Mihir may not have intended spending too much time with Mihika, but inadvertently, dosti ki aad mein, he's made Mihika a bigger priority than his wife ...and that's not done...
Towards the end, there's some puja Ishu talks about (didn't get the name) and apparently, she wants Raman to get Ruhi for the puja...he says it isn't possible, since she cant leave the shoot midway...Shagun wont allow it... as they argue, Raman gets a call... and is happy and excited about something...Ishita asks him what it is... "Bataunga nai, dikhaunga...have patience"
PRECAP - Ruhi's fav dog Muttu Swami is there at the doorstep...that's the surprise...I dunno how that's connected to getting Roo home for the puja...
I am glad ki last minute script change hi sahi, magar Raman DID do something to bridge the distance between Ishita and Ruhi...I mean, recording-the-video-thing was a smart thing to do..not only is it a part of Ishu's memory but also an assurance to her that her daughter thinks about her every moment she's away from her...also, Ruhi could take part in the elocution... Raman's taking baby steps...but I wud've preferred Ishita being FURIOUS at Raman on the set..and Raman surprising her with this...that set wala convo was so BLAH...It sounded like one of Ishita's usual long-winded boring speeches..kaunsi biwi itni khushi khushi jaane degi itne bade jhooth ko??
And why don't that DO something about KP'S HAIR??? Poora dhyaan mera uske baalon pet ha...gelled hair, LONG-ish, falling on his face... not even that ONE single one-liner could save the day for him...coz he looks HORRIBLE in this hairdo...please...spare us...
I really liked Ishita's chikan kurtas..both the pink and the lemon-green one...lovely..
And if Rinki takes Ishu's advice of being patient and understanding and giving space and trusting and yada yada too seriously...bas ho gaya...YHM-II yahin shuru ho jana hai... I don't like that Mihir pays too much attention to Mihika...
