Anurag Basu, after working in two consecutive films with Ranbir Kapoor (Barfii, Jagaa Jasoos), has decided to join hands with Kangana Ranaut whom he introduced in Gangster.

The duo will reunite after eight years on a love story driven by a female protagonist.

Anurag and Kangana last worked together in Life In A Metro in 2007.

Kangana was very miffed with Anurag for repeating her in the role of a woman showing streaks of psychotic behaviour and had decided not to work with him in future especially after her role in his Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites was slashed on the edit table. But all that is a thing of the past now.

Clearly, the director and the actress have kissed and made up.To quote Anurag from his Facebook Page: Yes, it's true I'm going to start my next movie with Kangana Ranaut.

What if he casts her as Madhubala too? If so then 1 min of silence for Ikaun fans who were constantly begging Anurag. 😆

makes way for Kangana means Ranbir won't be in the film that Kangana will be a part of, please learn to read.

with Ranbir's case these past few years, I understand now why directors prefer working with young actors or not so busy stars...with JJ being postponed here and there, Anurag must have had nothing to do and his crew as well...maybe this is why he wants a change next time he does a film...

Good. RK will be done with Ayan & Hirani movie by then and can give six months for KK biopic. Read permission from Madhubala's family came through as well. UTV and PS will be co-producing it.

Gangster is Kangana's best performance IMO..Such a wonderful film..So looking forward to this..Just hope the KK biopic works out cos am most excited about that film at this point..
